Really terrible company. They give you a completely unrealistic quote (thanks adam) and then double it when the movers come. We even asked if there were hidden fees and Adam said none and now we have paid 2400 when our quote was 1300. Besides the crazy amount of overcharge the communication is equally terrible. We were not told even the day of our move until less than 18 hours before. Both Adam and Michael are incredibly unhelpful and rude. And the dispatcher seems to always be on a lunch break. The movers brought the wrong truck when delivering our items and we havent heard from them since. Im not sure how a company can be so incompetent on all fronts. Not worth the time, pain, trouble or money. I would go with any other company over them.

I’m very pleased with the services that Monarch Moving Group provided for me for my move out to California. Adam definitely made the entire process a lot easier by explaining how everything worked in detail. The movers were great and handled everything with care. I have already recommended Monarch to my sister who will be using them in a few weeks.Move cost: $1750Start state: DelawareEnd state: Tennessee

I've moved 6 times, using a long distance moving company due to work. Monarch was by far the best experience. They delivered my things in VA, 3 days after picking them up in Voorhees, NJ. Everything was perfect. I did have to pay an extra $300 for a refrigerator that I forgot to tell Adam, the manager, about when setting up an estimate, but I don't blame them for the additional price. The whole thing went smoothly and the crew was great. I can finally breathe knowing my whole move is over!

I’ve only went out of my way to leave a few reviews before ever. This was one of the biggest things ive done in my life and I think the experience deserves a review. Monarch was really good with their communication. Mark went out of his way to make sure any questions we had were answered. I do suggest for anyone moving to plan a little better than I did but regardless I would recommend Monarch moving Group to anyone who mentions moving to me.Move cost: $1900Start state: DelawareEnd state: South Carolina

Monarch was literally a lifesaver for us. Me and my husband made a terrible decision and had our move reserved with another moving company. I won't say their name here I already left my reviews for them, but they gave us a 3 day "pick up window" and just never showed up and still won't give me my money back. Anyway, I called Monarch back the day before i absolutely needed to move out. Ther actually were able to get me picked up the same day thank God. Adam from Monarch was super super helpful with everything up until the day we got our things delivered.Move cost: $3480Start state: New JerseyEnd state: Florida

My family & I just moved about 1,800 miles for our first big move. So naturally, we weren't sure whether or not we should try this ourselves or book with a company. We went over all the scenarios and finally came to the conclusion that we would go with a company. So, we spoke with multiple companies that had huge price differences. We spoke with Monarch for a couple weeks comparing quotes and inventory. Adam is one of the managers and the way he slowly went over very precise details was just what my wife and I needed. I was asked every time we spoke if there was anything he could do to make this time easier on us, and, thanks to Adam, there wasn't. Eventually, after a couple weeks of comparing we decided to go with him. Another man named Jordan called around a week before the move making sure every single detail was perfect for us. The move went perfect. We are so happy we chose Monarch and if we ever have to go anywhere again, I can promise you that Monarch Moving Group will be our first and only choice. Adam even called me the day of and the day after the move to make sure everything ran smoothly. They also gave me 10% off of our moves from our future moves and also our relatives moves. Again, we have to say this one last time, Thank you so much Adam Jordan & the entire Monarch crew for all of your help! We will definitely be recommending you to everyone we know!Move cost: $2250Start state: ColoradoEnd state: Florida

The move went great! I was very nervous about moving so far ive never done this before. The only problem was that i had some damage to an end table, however i was able to file the claim for reimbursement as soon as i notified Monarch of the damages. I definetly know who i would call if i ever need to do another long distance move, and would reccomend them to anyone in need of movers.Move cost: $3450Start state: DelawareEnd state: California

I would 100% recommend Monarch Moving Group to any friend or family member that is moving. They were really professional and handled all of our things with care. Adam was extremely informative and basically walked us thru the entire process before it even started. Extremely deceitful and questionable business practices. Their only goal is to deliver your belongings by the 21st business day as legally obligated but with no respect or regard for their client's belongings or money. I moved from Boston to San Francisco and I was never informed that work was being sub-contracted out and that my move actually involved 3 organizations (Monarch Moving Group based in PA, Patriot Relocation Corp based in NJ (couldn't find a website for them), and DelPro based in NJ). This information only came to light when a) the movers came to pick up my stuff and they were not Monarch (they were Patriot) and b) when I was calling the sub-contracted movers (Patriot) after my stuff had already been taken with no update for 8 days. They then told me that they didn't have my stuff but actually had sub-contracted the move out to yet another company (DelPro).
To briefly sum up the long, disappointing saga of dealing with them, I incurred extra charges, I received different answers from everyone I spoke to when I actually managed to get a hold of them (they still haven't answered our most recent messages from 8/29), I was yelled at by the still unidentified owner of Monarch who threatened to sue my mother and I for slander because we were vocal about our dissatisfaction with his services, I was treated extremely disrespectfully by almost everyone I talked to about the status of my move and in the end, I had to pick up and move my own belongings from a sketchy "industrial park" in Oakland to San Francisco because their 18 wheeler truck carrying my queen mattress, 10 boxes, rug and guitar couldn't fit on or near my street. Somehow their lack of planning is the customer's problem and results in an extra minimum charge of $350 for shuttle services.
Please don't make the same mistake I made and hire Monarch for ANY size move that you have. If I had properly done research, I would have seen their numerous (and growing) poor ratings outside of just Google. Completely unacceptable and overpriced.Move cost: $2200Start state: MassachusettsEnd state: California

I chose to use Monarch Moving Group when relocating because of work from north Jersey to Atlanta. The process was pretty simple, i spoke with Adam and gave him a list of what i was moving and once he explained the services i figured it was a no brainer. It did cost a little more than i was expecting but not having to do anything myself made the move a lot easier for me and worth it.Move cost: $2440Start state: New JerseyEnd state: Georgia

We decided to choose monarch Moving Group to take care of moving our family. It was an all around great experience from start to finish. From the initial phone call Dave walked us through everything we would be taking. He paid attention to all details. They were definitely not even close to the cheapest company but David and the rest of the team especially Jordan and Dan from Monarch made us feel super comfortable. The movers they had perform the job were awesome. When they delivered to our new home everything was in the same condition as it left in. All around great service thank you Monarch.Move cost: $12500Start state: MinnesotaEnd state: Arizona

My daughter was quoted a rate of $1900 for 10 boxes and a mattress to move cross country. The Monarch Moving sales representative indicated that a 7 day move was feasible and they understood her concern for a tight deadline and would work hard to adhere to it. Naturally the rate is $265 higher and 12 days out, her stuff is sitting in a holding facility in NJ. They subcontract it out. That outfit (Patriot) was professional and answered the questions and ideally her stuff will arrive in the 21 day window. (Moving companies incur a fee if it goes over). He says that the 21 days should be communicated upfront to manage expectations. When I tried to obtain answers from Monarch, they hung up on me, threatened to sue for slander for posting on FB that her stuff was unaccounted for. RUN away from Monarch Moving or be prepared to lose your mind and money. Most unprofessional organization that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.Move cost: $2200Start state: MassachusettsEnd state: California

DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT spend your money with this company. They will take your money and run. Other reviewers are correct in the fact they these guys are brokers. They will promise you whatever it takes to part you from your hard earned money. Once you're hooked they don't know you anymore. They contracted my move to two carriers, neither of which showed on time. I had to make last minute travel arrangements so that the carrier could make it a day late for my furnishings and for my motorcycle a day later with them picking up at 3 in the morning. The move of my household good was a disaster, they sent ONE person to move a 5 bedroom house and he complained and complained about his employer and Monarch the entire time. His poor loading and wrapping resulted in several hundred dollars of damages to my possessions. Moarch of course promised to help me with filing a claim and covering my damages. Basically that meant blaming the moving company and leaving me hanging.
Oh and so anyone who's potentially still willing to deal with these folks, be aware that Jordan is an owner of the company. Don't let him fool you with the dispatch/customer service manager routine.
I dealt with Jake Stout and Jordan Naughton primarily. Avoid these folks, they're out for your money and that's it. Just read their Google reviews, notice how they don't seem to know any customers that leave bad reviews..

Do not use this company. 1 week late picking up then I had to pay $200 myself to move someplace else because sold home where it was and owners wanted it out!! Now 3 weeks later and still nothing! Can’t get any info. They move your things then sub out to other drivers and little communication after that. All I know is things in Dallas. Don’t ever use them. After the fact BBB in Philadelphia shows then with ‘F’ rating. Shame on me for trusting Dave Kimbrel and not double checking this moving company out further!Move cost: $1640Start state: MississippiEnd state: Florida

This is NOT a moving company. They will contact you the second you request a quote for your move to get you to book immediately and make you think other movers won't have availability. They'll tell you anything you want to hear to get you to book that day and to put down the deposit. Monarch booked my move with another company, which put all the liability and responsibility on them. Monarch told me the movers would deliver everything immediately following pick up, which did not happen. Once the movers came, they told me they could hold my belongings for up to 21 days even though Monarch had said they'd deliver that day. I was never informed I had to pay an extra 550 for "direct delivery," which would deliver my things 3-5 days from when I booked direct delivery. It took 6 days of constant calling to even get on the schedule for delivery. Overall, the drastic miscommunication on Monarch's part cost me about 1300 extra.
Monarch is a horrible service - do more research ahead of time and do not involve any broker in your move.Move cost: $3000Start state: North CarolinaEnd state: Ohio

DO NOT BOOK WITH MONARCH!!! Horrible experience, extremely stressful. They seem very legitimate, but DO NOT BE FOOLED! The moving companies they contract with are scammers.
Monarch is a broker that contracts your move to a moving company. Monarch is completely unhelpful and a useless middle man that will prevent you from directly evaluating the movers you get. Booking with Monarch makes it easier for movers to scam you because the movers blame Monarch for messing up the estimate. The movers do not honor Monarch’s estimate, saying the “estimate is meaningless.”
The movers they set me up with, Stop and Move, overcharged me by $450 and forced me to pay a $300 tip (threatening to charge me another $800 if I didn’t give the tip). They harassed me throughout the move for being reluctant to pay the extra charges. They would not let me see the loaded truck before signing the contract, saying that they were giving me a “deal” by charging me less than my total cubic feet, but if I saw the truck loaded, they would charge me the “full amount.” When I ultimately saw the loaded truck, my 250 cubic feet of items (which I later measured to be absolutely certain of the size) had somehow expanded to hit the 650 cubic feet mark on the truck. I assume they packed filler behind my items to make them hit a higher marker.
I called Monarch for help at least 10 times during my move and they never answered the phone. When I complained to the customer service rep Jordan about the higher price, he said that there was nothing they could do since I signed a new contract with the movers. They refused to refund my deposit, which would have covered the extra amount I had to pay.
Monarch did absolutely nothing helpful during the entire process. They are only helpful until they get your deposit. Monarch is really good at selling you on their business and seeming like they provide good customer service. Don’t buy it.
Kevin’s sales pitch (Monarch’s salesman):
-Says not to trust online reviews (Google, Yelp) because they can be put up by anyone who may not be a real customer. Even says that some of the positive reviews are his own family and friends.
-Sends you the link for the DOT FMCSA website which only showed 1 complaint (now 4) for Monarch and asks you to compare to other companies that have many more. (It seems like they have been in business only a few months, which might be why they don’t have more complaints).
-Says that they only work with reputable movers and that the movers want to do a good job to keep getting business from Monarch (not true, the movers they sent me have a ton of complaints and scammed me)
-Says you will not pay any more than the estimate (not true)
-Takes the time to answer your questions and gives very reassuring responses (regardless of whether or not his answers are true)
DO NOT TRUST MONARCH. They are a useless middle man and set me up with a scamming company. And the stuff I mentioned is only the major things. Other things that went wrong: Monarch scheduled the movers for the wrong day, movers did a terrible job of wrapping the furniture and several items were broken/scraped, movers broke my desk before they even got it into the truck, movers didn’t give me any of the paperwork on pickup, movers charged me an extra $350 for a shuttle truck for delivery even though the 18-wheeler could have easily fit on the street as evidenced by the furniture delivery my roommate got the following week. Based on the obvious scam practices of the movers, I was terrified my belongings would never arrive. Overall, this move cost me an extra $1100 and A MONTH OF MY SANITY. SPARE YOURSELF.Move cost: $2990Start state: New YorkEnd state: California

Stay far away from Monarch Moving Group. I've had a terrible experience with them and as other reviewers have stated I suspect they're a scam.. They are not a moving company they are brokers who sub-contract other moving companies. Monarch has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in any industry.
I ended up losing my $1,000 deposit to them and they did zero work ( a reputable moving company will charge a much smaller deposit). The first sub-contractor they hired had horrible reviews (Xtra Mile), they had less than 5 employees and did not meet the insurance requirements of my apartment building. They tried to scramble and find a new contractor but on 4/27/19 they could not tell me the day or time of my move which was planned to be 4/30/19. My building requires residents to reserve the freight elevator to move out. Since Monarch couldn't schedule my move, the freight elevator was not available on my move out day and I had to pay my landlord more money.
Save yourself a huge headache and go with a different moving company.Move cost: $2800Start state: New YorkEnd state: California

I typically do not write reviews online but I feel like Monarch Moving Group deserves one! They professionally went over all of my inventory over the phone and provided a quote which was similar to the ones I had received from in home estimates. I ended up only paying $200 more than expected due to some packing I needed them to do for me. Their services were amazing and everyone I spoke to was helpful. I would use them again.Move cost: $3405Start state:End state:

I've never reviewed anyone before, but if someone can make moving stress-free, I'd say they deserve a review! Monarch Moving Group really knows their stuff. At first, I was very nervous about going off a quote that they had built for me over the phone, as I have a large house and a lot of stuff. They spent 2 hours on the phone with me to make sure they had the most accurate list possible. The price ended up being pretty spot on, I paid an additional $50 because of some packing that I didn't know I would need until the day of. Personally, I hope that I never have to move again, but if I do then I would definitely be calling Monarch again! Great job guys!Move cost: $7540Start state:End state:

My husband and I just recently used Monarch Moving Group and they beyond exceeded our expectations! We were moving our family from our apartment to our first home, so this was already a very nerve-wracking move for us. They made sure we did not have to lift a finger!
