TLDR: bad communication, missing boxes, terrible experience
Don’t let them try to sell you on their “positive” DOT record or number of trucks on the road.
Pickup was 2.5 hours after the window. I called all day for updates and they kept saying they needed to hear from the dispatcher. Window was 11-4 pickup happened at 6:30pm.
Stuff was picked up on Friday. I didn’t hear until Tuesday about any sort update on delivery window. The driver was contracted out in a Penske truck and they gave me the wrong number to get in contact. Still had to find the mysterious dispatcher for an updated number. Heard nothing until the driver called me Wednesday evening to confirm a Thursday delivery.
Upon delivery two boxes were missing. The drivers initial reaction was you must be wrong until I asked him to pull out the inventory, pointed out the number of boxes pictured by the company and showed him that they were not there.
Called road runner about the missing boxes and they said they needed to do a warehouse investigation that could take 1-3 weeks and then I would be able to file a claim.
Boxes still missing, no communication from road runner, if I file a claim it is through a third party website.
