TLDR: bad communication, missing boxes, terrible experience

Don’t let them try to sell you on their “positive” DOT record or number of trucks on the road.

Pickup was 2.5 hours after the window. I called all day for updates and they kept saying they needed to hear from the dispatcher. Window was 11-4 pickup happened at 6:30pm.

Stuff was picked up on Friday. I didn’t hear until Tuesday about any sort update on delivery window. The driver was contracted out in a Penske truck and they gave me the wrong number to get in contact. Still had to find the mysterious dispatcher for an updated number. Heard nothing until the driver called me Wednesday evening to confirm a Thursday delivery.

Upon delivery two boxes were missing. The drivers initial reaction was you must be wrong until I asked him to pull out the inventory, pointed out the number of boxes pictured by the company and showed him that they were not there.

Called road runner about the missing boxes and they said they needed to do a warehouse investigation that could take 1-3 weeks and then I would be able to file a claim.

Boxes still missing, no communication from road runner, if I file a claim it is through a third party website.

Bill of Lading Number (Job #): 3419892 Pickup Date: 9/30/2018 Delivery Date: 10/13/2018
    Incident Description
On 9/30/18, Road Runner Moving and Storage also known as Real Movers Moving and Storage picked up the delivery
from the address in Plantation Florida. While loading the items one of the movers Marcus (who had been paid to pack
and ship) broke the glass top of a metal desk and damaged the desk as the glass fell on it and shattered. This incident was
reported to the company and noted on the documentation they provided on that day. We were also charged an additional
$1567.36 on moving day because of an overage and told we wold have to pay that when the items were delivered despite
giving the company beforehand an inventory of the items we would be taking and receiving an estimate. We spoke with
the General Manager/Operations Director Michael Miller and Assistant Michelle Brown to resolve this issue of the
broken desk and overage. They went back and forth with us but eventually offered $140.71 to resolve the issue. We had
not signed off on the paperwork to do so when we noticed that the items which were said to be delivered on 10/2/18 and
then 10/3/18 had not arrived. Our focus shifted to when was the actual items were going to be delivered. We were
promised a additional delivery date of 10/5/18 and later changed to 10/6/18 but the items were again not delivered. We
again were promised additional delivery dates of 10/9/18 and then 10/10/18. The items were again not delivered. We
received a call on 10/9/18 from Michael Miller that there had been a crash involving the moving truck with the items
being delivered over 24 hours prior although he had spoken to us during that period and never said anything. We were
upset and extremely concerned by this incident. Mr. Miller assured us that there would be no issues with putting forth a
claim and on several times stated that the owners of the company had approved for the claim to be made through their
cargo insurance because it was a crash which would replace the items for their full value and not the movers insurance
which was 0.60 per pound per item. We asked for the insurance information, police report, and accident details but they
refused to provide the information to us. We also asked to speak with the owners of the company or contact them in some
way. They both refused and stated that was not possible. We were again provided with delivery dates of 10/11/18 but that
did not occur. We also asked for a copy of the inventory list that had not been provided and once received it noticed that
it had generic pictures listed and not the actual boxes or images on that day which was brought to the company's attention
    - Mr. Miller and Ms. Brown. They assured us that they would check the images but never did and came back and stated
that is all they had. Mr. Miller eventually gave us the phone number for an officer in South Carolina on 10/12/18 who we
contacted about the accident. He stated that the accident was huge and that the trailer was split open after the crash. He
stated that the frame was damaged and items scattered about on the ground. He also stated that the moving company put
a tarp over the trailer but did not unload it until the next afternoon/evening on 10/9/18 so it sat out there unsecured after
the accident on 10/8/18. The items were finally delivered on 10/13/18 and almost all of them are broken and missing.
Please help us as now the moving company still refuses to put through the claim with their insurance or provide the
information that we requested. We were told that other families were also affected and are devastated and have nothing.

    HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

IF YOU LIKE BEING TRICKED AND LIED TO, IF YOU LIKE PEOPLE BEING 5 HOURS LATE FOR YOUR PICK UP, IF YOU LIKE NOT KNOWING WHERE YOUR STUFF IS OR WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED AND IF YOU LIKE BEING TOLD BY THE MANAGER OF THE COMPANY THAT YOU DO NOT MATTER....THAN SURE, USE THESE GUYS. BUT IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT A SMOOTH MOVE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Road runner moving and storage did an amazing job. The mover treated my belongings with the utmost care and the sales representative went above and beyond to explain each stage of the move. They offered a very competitive pricing and stuck to it until the end of the move. My expectations were high and they didn’t let me down. I will be contacting them for my next move for sure because they made an overly stressful moving process seem so trouble-free. All the people planning a household move should hear about my amazing moving experience provided by Road runner moving and storage.

Road runner moving and storage were very consistent and committed to completing their job efficiently. My move from Florida to NYC was planned and executed thoroughly. In fact, I got my belongings delivered in three days and the best part is that everything was in excellent shape. We had a smooth communication all along and I knew exactly what to expect. They even managed to exceed my expectations by completing my move so quickly and professionally. They were very helpful in explaining the unpacking process as well. Everyone moving long distance should definitely consider contacting Road runner moving and storage.

I got an exceptional service at a really good price from Road runner moving and storage company.
I’m happy with how they managed to take care of each moving task in a timely and professional manner. After performing a thorough background check on moving companies I decided to go for Road runner moving and storage as they seemed honest and affordable to me. I didn’t incur additional charges whatsoever as all moving charges were included in the quote and I knew exactly what I was paying for.
No wonder why I’m so impressed with their performance.

I’m looking forward to doing business again with them.

Road runner moving and storage went above and beyond to meet all my expectations. I received all relevant information and guidelines about how to better prepare myself for the upcoming move. They were very tedious in explaining the course of the move, so I knew exactly what to expect. Luckily everything went as planned, the movers were on time both for the pick-up and delivery and more importantly, there were no surprising charges. In the end I paid the amount I agreed to before. I can recommend Road runner moving and storage to everyone looking to have a smooth and trouble free move.

My friend convinced me to hire Road runner moving and storage and at this point all I can say is I’m happy he did it. They were absolutely amazing. I’ve moved a lot in the past and thanks to these guys I’ve had the easiest move ever. Everyone doing a pre move research should consider contacting Road runner moving and storage movers. I was very pleased both with the customer service and movers. They explained the terms of the move and even gave me a couple of helpful guidelines about how to pack certain items. They were very friendly and professional from the first time we got in touch. Highly appreciated!

I called Road Runner Moving and Storage because my original movers never showed up and they were able to show up the next day. They were very understanding and worked very hard to get everything completed in time. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about their company as a whole!

I was looking for an affordable moving company and I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to deal with Road runner moving and storage. I knew that my belongings were in good hands given all those positive reviews I read online. But, their professional attitude is what impressed me the most! They were willing to meet my requests by offering special deals on packing, which was an amazing gesture. They were great from start to finish. My items were delivered without a single scratch, they really took care of everything.

I will be happy to recommend them to all the people I know. Many, many thanks!!

A few weeks ago I moved from my apartment to my new house. It wasn't a very far move, but I had way too much going on to worry about moving my stuff by myself. SO I contracted with Roadrunner Moving and Storage. When the movers arrived at my house, they got to work packing everything up for me. The packing and loading took a little bit longer than I had anticipated, but they got it all done by that evening and headed to my new house. Because the packing took a little bit longer, they weren't able to deliver that same day, but they arrived the next morning and unloaded everything. I would definitely recommend this company!

UNREAL! Finally, a company that not only does what they say they're going to do, they go above and beyond! We have moved several times from as far as Texas to Detroit to Pittsburgh. Out of all of the moving companies I have dealt with, Roadrunner Moving and Storage was by far the very best. Their workers are friendly and professional. We moved from Mt. Lebanon to Eighty-Four and these guys finished about 2.5 hours early. ALSO, THE FINAL PRICE WAS ROUGHLY $350 LESS THAN WHAT THEY QUOTED!!! No items were damaged and they treated everything with care. In my past moves, other companies always sent 2-guys, Roadrunner Moving and Storage sent 4 of them and they all worked really hard. I will highly recommend this moving company to anyone that ever asks. Take it from someone that has used 7 different moving companies, they are the best!
