This was for a move from Colorado to Ohio. There wasn't an option for Ohio so I put Michigan. I was given all sorts of hidden fees and I was originally told my stuff would arrive on the 3rd. I was NOT told that they would take my stuff to a storage facility first and wait for an available truck. I was, in fact, specifically told by Serg that was NOT what was happening. I was also hung up on by customer service and I understand they should be treated with respect but this is outrageous. I have NEVER been treated so poorly. I couldn't even get an exact estimate of the day! They said 3-7 days AFTER it was being loaded from storage. They couldn't even give me a day of arrival! That being said, the movers themselves were very professional and efficient (which is why they get two stars instead of one) but I feel incredibly misled. I know the contract said up to 30 days but I was no TOLD that they would not be storing my stuff or that it would take over a WEEK after the "first available" date. I would NOT sign with them and if you work with Bronze Star Movers and get them DO NOT SIGN.

Do not hire this company. We hired them to move our home from Vancouver, Washington to Asheville, North Carolina. From the time they started packing the truck, the cost keep creeping up and eventually they hauled away out things and told us they'd get back to us with the final cost. They had all of our possessions and charged us almost $5000 more than originally agreed upon to deliver it - the move ended up costing us over $15,000, when we had two other quotes from reputable companies that were less than MCM ended up costing, but slightly higher than the original quote from MCM. When they did deliver our truck, things were horribly damaged, and some precious things were completely missing. And did I mentioned that it took them several WEEKS to deliver it? They were so late that we ended up getting our things 24 days after they left our home in WA. This was the most horrible experience that still causes my husband and I anxiety when we think about the things that we lost and the money that we wasted. It was a true nightmare. And they are impossible to get ahold of... I could go on and on. Don't do it.

Vaughn Pullman Worldwide Van Lines / MC Movers - USDOT Number: 2538365 is a horrible fraudulent moving company. DO NOT HIRE them. We finally received some of our belongings months later, but everything was handled extremely poorly resulting in all being damaged, broken or destroyed. Even our boxes (five missing) showed obvious mishandling. Our baby is missing his first and favorite toys. We are missing family heirlooms and treasured Christmas decorations. The truth is they send random guys to show up late (on purpose) to up-charge you and smash your belongings into a rented Budget Rental truck against other mislead customers’ belongings. They are a broker, who subcontract a series of random guys in rental trucks to juggle your things cross-country, NOT real professional movers in uniforms like they claim on their falsely advertised website. Even after we had expressed our deep concerns about our move with James Portman (AKA Luke) the BS-artist salesman, he purposely waited until the last day we could move before my wife and baby had to be on a plane to Minnesota, to force us to sign a new higher-priced contract on the spot. There is a long detailed account I could write here about our experience with their completely unprofessional, elusive, and deceitful staff, but there is a 5000-character limit to this review so I will just warn you the best I can. These people are crooks. There’s not just one or two rotten apples working for them, the whole bunch is rotten. Every aspect of their company is incompetent. Most of the time they were impossible to get a hold of, and even when we did they constantly made excuses or lied about what was happening. Everyone from their salesman, James, to Ezra the estimator, Laura and Shanique in dispatch, are liars who will say anything to stall, even giving “unsatisfied” and “late-pick-up” discounts, which later take back. We went weeks without any answers to our calls, having to talk to several different deceitful employees while they juggled our belongings to a storage facility in Illinois before the last rented truck with two other random guys showed-up late to our home. Of course, they had no answers for us either and blamed the damage and mishandling of or things on the previous movers that Pullman had hired. Incidentally, we received a phone call from another unsatisfied Pullman customer in Florida who had our missing suitcase full of baby toys and a couple of the five missing boxes of our belongings. Luckily, we had left our contact information on our suitcase or we would of never known where some of our belongings ended up. Even stranger, we discovered the movers mistakenly unloaded her shag rug in our garage. She later informed us that she had arranged with the recently renamed MC Movers, formerly Vaughn Pullman Worldwide Movers, and that they had agreed to ship and return our things accordingly but later let us know that they had blocked her number and that she couldn’t get a hold of anyone there any longer. So believe me when I tell you, you will regret the mental abuse from these hustlers if you hire them. Just don’t. They absolutely don’t care about anything but making money. I partly blame the system for allowing these fools to stay in business by changing business names and not having real managers or higher-ups to report their misdeeds. The fact that they’ve changed their name under the same DOT number should be a giant red flag. I am surprised to read so many perfect reviews on here. They must be fake, which should be another giant red flag. Stay far away from this total scam and poor excuse for a cross-country moving company.

I just want to say thank you to Niko and the other reviewers that reported this company as a scam. I received quotes from several moving company and we went with Bekins who subcontracted it to Wheaton Moving. We had a wonderful experience for less $5,000. s All of the moving agents that came and visited my house to provide the quote told me that if a moving company requests a deposit and/or does not do an on-site quote, they are a scam. Thank you Niko for helping me avoid the scammers!
