JK promised to move me into a house April 1st, when the previous tenant was moving out. They got here early and demanded that I rent a storage unit. I had to pay a second moving company and the storage unit to move me at the correct date. I had paid for re-assembly of beds, TV, etc. and none of that was done. No compensation was provided. I had purchased insurance and received $200 towards a completely shredded mattress. I am looking at taking them to small claims court, but they are out of state. I would not use them again, needless to say.
I used JK Moving Services to move from Baltimore, MD to Norfolk, VA. This was the first time I have ever moved on my own, and they were there to help me every step of the way. Their estimate was extremely accurate, and they communicated so well with me. All of our items arrived exactly with the window of time to expect my shipment. They did not have the cheapest estimate, but I would rather pay a little bit more and get quality moving services vs paying less and getting some guys off of the street moving my items. I am deducting one-star though, as I felt that their insurance policy was slightly difficult to understand. Thankfully, nothing was damaged and I did not end up having to decipher it.
