5 stars. These people rescued our PCS. I am an active duty Navy officer, already deployed to Italy, while my wife handled our move at home alone with our two children. Our assigned carrier, Evergreen Transfer and Storage, came for the pickup and our washer and dryer were not disconnected. I accept that part was on us and that they were not authorized to disconnect plumbing. Rescheduling would have been completely fair. Instead, my wife asked the crew to wear shoe covers in our home and they refused. When my daughter tried to hand them the phone so I could speak with them from overseas, they left. I called the office to raise a concern about how my family had been treated, calmly, and shortly after we were told Evergreen no longer wanted to provide the service. We were dropped days before our family's flight with no provider and almost no time. Hill Moving Services stepped in on short notice and handled it beautifully. I watched the entire pickup over FaceTime from the ship. They were respectful to my wife, careful with our home and our belongings, and finished in under an hour. No attitude, no friction, no drama. Just professionals doing their job well. I cannot tell you what it means to sit ten thousand miles away, unable to do anything, and watch strangers treat your family with that kind of decency. Military families, if Hill shows up at your door, you are in good hands. And if a company treats your spouse poorly and then drops you for speaking up, the way Evergreen did to us, do not accept that as normal. Hill is proof it does not have to be that way. Hill Moving Services has been my favorite company that has moved me. I always look for good companies in the state that I am living in, other than go for the big guys that really do not care and screw up the move (I have done this a time or two). Everything went great during the whole move, EXCEPT for a box that never arrived when my goods were delivered. I called in, calmly, to ask about it ( maybe I was not so calm, who knows). They didn’t take this personally, they also understood my concern. Believe it or not they knew exactly what I was talking about and in which box they packed it. They opened the box showed me the item and re-assured me. I would totally recommend this company!
Had a horrific move in the past where nothing went right and EVERYTHING went wrong (like the ones you hear about on tv). So after speaking to my movers I chose Hill Moving Services, because I felt comfortable with the rep and he answered all my questions and concerns well. Move day came and the crew was on time and on point. I could definitely tell this move was going to be way different than the first one. They did everything right and listened to my concerns. I would totally use them again. Though, I just moved out of Washington state. Would recommend!
