This company is a fraud! Buyer beware! I would not recommend this company to anyone. I initially booked an out-of-state move with Emerald movers several months ago. Initially, the company was very responsive and badgered me for the initial deposit of over $1000. Unfortunately, my plans changed and I no longer was able to move as planned therefore I requested a refund. They refused to refund my money despite me receiving NO services. I was told that they would not be able to refund my moves despite it being less than 30 days from the initiation of the request. Even though the initial broker also lied and stated that if any things changed with my move, or with the dimensions of my move, they would be able to make the adjustments with no problem, however, later this came to be a complete lie. They did however say that, I could use the deposit for a different move later in the year, if needed later reached back out to the emerald movers company. Several months later, I called to inquire about a new move to apply the $1200 I was charging towards. This was a much shorter in-state move, less than six months after my initial inquiry. At this point, Emeralds story again changed and I was informed that they were not able to adjust the price and I would have to pay an additional $500 to reinstate the move! So they wanted to charge over $2200 for an in-state less than 50 mile move of less than two rooms. The price kept changing! Ultimately, I paid for services that I never received. They refuse to give a refund, price adjustment and wanted to charge me additional even though I had received zero services. I therefore am out of over $1200 that they refused to refund. Do not use this company. If you’re moving plans may change because they will not be flexible. They were very rude, impersonal , and have no remorse for stealing money. This company is a fraud. Do not use!
