We used Black Tie Moving Services. We found them to be most reasonable in price. They gave us excellent moving services demonstrating dependability, competency in packing, safety and respect for our belongings in loading and timely delivery. They were most professional and courteous in the performance of their job. We will definitely use them again and we highly recommend them for any moving job.
I thought I hired reliable and competent moving professionals, based on the reviews but for the Atlanta location, that couldn’t be further from the truth - it is a hot mess! My advice to Blacktie Moving is - arrive on time, and don’t ignore your customers calls/emails when they try to alert you of problems occurring with your moving team, don’t run $3000 charges on your customer’s credit card without their permission for services NOT rendered and then IGNORE them, and most importantly stand behind the quotes you give and DON’t Damage 60-70% of your customer’s property!!!!!!!! I trusted this company with my household move, and after spending nearly $12,000 and suffering significant damage to my property- I am sorely broken-hearted and disappointed. My valuables are destroyed and communication is poor at best. It was so bad they had to bring in teams from other states to try to correct the problems, unfortunately the damage was already done, too little, too late. Hopefully by writing the review of our TERRIBLE experience this won’t happen to another unsuspecting family. I do not recommend this Atlanta based company.
They hit a house and won't work to repair it. Ignoring calls about the incident and leaving s family out to fend for their own. Completely unacceptable.
By far the worst moving experience we have had. Since the rate is by the hour, the movers love to take their time. We had a crew of three men, and it took 4 and a half hours to move a two bedroom townhouse and the second bedroom only contained a crib (which we disassembled) and a dresser for them to move. We also ensured all furniture was disassembled and ready to go for them and it still took over four hours. I received a call the day before the move where I expressed a concern, and Kevin decided to hang up on me mid sentence. During the move, there were numerous times where the crew was standing out by the truck for 10-15 minutes at a time just talking and hanging out. We said something to the crew, nicely, since we had to pay by the hour, and one crew member decided to get rude with us and he got in my significant others face. They then tried to charge us for the time it took them to take him back to the office because we did not want him in our home after he did that. Not to mention they wrapped the couch “incorrectly” and one guy spent 30 minutes unwrapping and rewrapping it while the other two stood there and did not move a single thing. They also broke the bottom corner off of my pantry cabinet and advised me to “just glue it back on.” After moving an item in, they also like to take 5 minutes in their truck folding the moving blanket before continuing to bring your furniture in. Oh, and they also charge an arm and a leg for “packing materials” used to wrap your furniture when it’s stated that there are no hidden fees but they never tell you about the packing material fee when you book. This was all around a horrible experience.
Black Tie Moving was awesome. We all know how stressful moving can be, but they were amazing! I'm pregnant, and they didn't make me move an inch, they did everything for me. He made sure he was careful with my furniture so nothing would end up damaged on the delivery end. They went above and beyond, and for that I'm extremely grateful. The move did take longer than expected, but that was the only issue I had. All the charges were honest and not to overcharged- there was one service fee that I was upset about, but overall great move.
