American Moving Partners

I warn everyone considering using this company to run as far away as possible. We made our move in 2018 and it was the worst experience of our lives. We did not realize they were a broker that hired moving companies to do the work. The attitude of the movers who picked up our belongings was that it was junk (this was said by one of the workers who caused some of the damage), so they did not take care. They damaged the front door of our home as well as a couple of items as they were packing. We agreed that they would pick up half our household belongings and keep them in storage. We expected to have one month free and then pay for the next month while we sold our home. Our belongings were in storage for a month. Then they sent them to Kentucky without having a delivery address and without telling us that they were being shipped. The truck arrived on a weekend and because we could not be contacted, the driver took our belongings to a storage shed in Indianapolis. Because we were not yet in Kentucky and the driver would not take our credit card (he demanded cash or postal money order on delivery), we made arrangements with the moving company to take payment on the credit card and then pay the driver. The moving company that picked up our belongings and arranged the move went out of business before we received our goods and the driver to Kentucky was not paid. He told us that he was holding our belongings hostage and would not deliver them until we wired money to his bank account. This we refused to do because we could not verify that he still had our belongings. We went to the FBI and then filed a complaint with the Federal Dept of Transportation. That is when the driver brought our belongings to our house and accepted the postal money orders that we had shown him photos. We started this move in March and it finally ended near the end of July. All my boxes marked Fragile looked like they had played football with them. I lost about half of my antique china. When we tried to get restitution for damages (furniture, china, etc) or repairs made, American Moving Partners said the bankrupt company was responsible for damages and not them. They were supposed to send us a report form to send to that company's insurance, which we never received.

I had a great move with America’s family moving and storage two years ago and I wanted to share my experience with all the people looking to move house safely and efficiently. They did such an amazing job that I feel the urge to write a well-deserved review. Everything about my relocation was perfect. The entire organization was in good hands all along. I was very stressed out about the move from the very beginning, but they managed to put my mind at ease. I don’t have anything to complain about as they provided a timely and efficient resolution to every tiny inconvenience that we encountered during the move.

I have never used a moving company before and I was apprehensive about how it would go. It went very smooth with American Moving Partners and I fully understand why there are professionals that do this on a daily basis. There was a 4 man crew and they were all polite, hard working and did not even stop for a lunch break until they were at least halfway through. I could tell right away that they all had a lot of experience by the way they handled my items as well as the way they precisely packed the truck. They arrived promptly for the pickup and they made sure to clean up any packing materials that were left over. They did arrive a little later than expected for the delivery end. I assumed they would be so tired as it was almost 9pm but I could not even tell they had been working all day! I did have a couple small items that showed up broken but they made sure to provide me with the claims department information to get this resolved.

I had an amazing experience with American moving partners. After my friend had an awful experience with a certain moving company, I was very skeptic about entrusting my goods to a group of strangers. On the other hand, I had no necessary skills and manpower to complete it on my own. There were lots of pros and cons, but eventually after weighing my options I decided to go for it. And luckily, I didn’t regret my choice. They showed an outstanding attitude and respect on moving day, handled my items as if they were their own and nothing was lost or permanently damaged. One box accidentally ended up among other person’s belongings, because I was sharing a truck with other people, but I got it back the following day. Great job!

The move with American Moving Partners started great. These guys seemed knowledgeable and competent to get the job done efficiently. Although I clearly marked my valuable items, they didn’t bother to treat them with more care and respect. Their representative came out before and estimated our household and they were perfectly aware that there were items that require special handling. Also, I noticed there were other boxes packed on top of them. Luckily, there was no any significant damage except for a couple of scratches. In spite of their careless behavior I got my items delivered in one piece and on time. Honestly, I’m not sure if I would hire them again.
