Ace World Wide Moving & Storage

Ace World Wide Moving & Storage began in Minnesota when John U. Steiner purchased a 1946 Ford truck. While originally used for other purposes, this truck was also responsible for hauling furniture and household goods for area residents who were moving. Just one year later, the fledgling venture submitted a bid on its first long-distance move from Rochester to Iowa. This was a push for Ace, as the company had to become an agent of a national van line with the authority to cross state lines in order to qualify. As the bid was accepted, this was Ace’s first interstate move. The company continued to grow over the years, having its first military contract to transport household goods for military families who were being stationed overseas in 1952, and further building a warehouse and office building in 1956.

As you can imagine, a lot has happened since then. We became an agent of Atlas, broadening our range of services. Our operations continued to grow throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. In order to serve the distribution needs of specific customers, we decided to open new offices around the country. At each location, we offer a full range of services to the local market. We offer residential, commercial and corporate services, as well as specialized moving assistance.
