Even though we pleaded with them to be delicate and move slowly, the movers still smashed a lot of stuff. A mover in front of us shattered a dresser drawer when a drawer slipped from his grasp while he was skipping (yep, skipping). A chest that is one of our treasured possessions was then scraped up. Because the staff neglected to bring the necessary hardware to the residence, a bookshelf could not be put back together. I believe Johnson, the team leader, promised to return the following day, so I waited all day for a call informing me that he had returned with the hardware and had put the bookshelf back together. He returned the day after I phoned corporate, but only after finishing up at another site and arriving hours later than expected.

THE TERRIBLE MOVERS! With this firm, I had the worst experience ever. On the day of the relocation, they arrived an hour late and didn't depart until after midnight. They took five hours longer than they had first informed us. In the living room and family room, they didn't position furniture in the appropriate locations, so we had to move everything ourselves again. Joseph, the owner, said it wasn't their responsibility when some furniture was broken. Then he said that because it took them longer than anticipated, he had to charge us $1000 extra (like 5 hours). He never stopped talking about how "things happen," etc. You visited my home, looked at all of my furnishings, and now you call yourself an expert??

Because certain objects (such as the file bin) weren't on the list, they made holes in the wall and didn't pack every piece of furniture. Instead of pulling my treadmill apart a little further, they completely scratched it in several places while attempting to move it upstairs. Instead of taking their time to lay down a drop cloth, they dragged the treadmill over the floor and damaged it. The furniture was partially put together. A computer desk that I had nearly fallen apart due to loose bolts. Although they worked quickly and completed sooner than expected, they still overcharged me. I believe they took advantage of me since I am a woman and was alone myself. The headman was quite unpleasant and unwelcoming and was agitated the entire time. The opposing crew was friendly. I would never suggest anyone use this moving company. I have previously relocated five times, and I have never encountered anything like this!!!

I had to relocate a ton of home furnishings and other belongings and Menards was able to help me find the best moving option for me. Payed attention to detail, ensured requirements were understood. The whole thing was put together and far less stressful than I had hoped.
