ACME Relocation

Run, don't walk away from Acme Relocation. Worst business experience of my life, moving or otherwise. These people are complete frauds and do not stand behind their work, which was beyond awful. I hired them to complete the simplest move you could possibly present to a company, a 3 year old King Sized bed in pristine condition and 50-60 boxes. I could have done it myself with my eyes closed but chose to enlist "professionals". What a costly mistake. These folks are anything but. My $5,000 Gel mattress along with the headboard and side rails were essentially delivered destroyed. It looked like the mattress was left in a swamp for a week. We wrapped it very carefully prior to these clowns coming to the house for pick up. It arrived to our home in Florida filthy beyond repair, ripped and torn in multiple places and completely mis-shaped, bent. In other words, ready for the garbage pile. I chased resolution for weeks between Acme and a company called InstaMove (they are equally as awful). After dozens of phone conversations, e-mails, claims submitted they offered me a settlement grand total of $63 dollars. Absolute joke. They also stole some items from boxes, including a pair of never worn, $140 golf shoes. So this easy, straightforward, small move will end up costing us around $10k to replace these items plus the untold aggravation and stress we endured The moving industry just might be the most shady, disingenuous, fraud filled business on the planet and Acme Relocation along with InstaMove lead the charge! It is amazing that this type of heinous transaction is allowed to occur in the United States in 2023. Shameful. To simply walk away with your money, destroy and steal your personnel effects, and stick it to people with zero recourse? Definition of insanity.

I have moved several times through the military plus a few times as a civilian. ACME relocation is by far the worst moving company I have encountered. Talk about headache, inconvenience and annoyance. I am 3 months pregnant and have a 1 year old. They showed up 3 hours late (with me having to call twice to see when they were arriving. pick up window 8am-11am… showed up at 1:25 pm). Rushed to put all our stuff on the truck (our loading dock for our apartment building closes at 430pm, which they were told and still showed up late). They left my sofa behind and when I called them to come back and get it, they said it would take a week. I had to pay an additional $375 out of pocket to someone else to pickup the sofa. Mind you, I already paid them to take it. I now have paid twice for the same piece of furniture to be moved. What’s more annoying, they prepped the sofa, threw all my pillow on the floor and told us they would be right back. 15 minutes goes by, we go check to see what’s taking so long, THEY HAVE LEFT. NO TRUCK IN SIGHT. so not only was the work incomplete, they are also liars. Why tell me your coming back, just to leave. When I called to put in a complaint, the service workers said a manager would be in contact with me in 24 hours. I had to call them THREE TIMES to finally talk to management. Just to hear them stutter and have a lack of ownership to their crap service. The entire experience from start to end was horrible. 0 stars. Use anyone else.

A nightmare! Why is this company rated 9.9? Please do not use this company. They will break and lose your stuff, and make you wait for half of your order for 3 months with no concern. They broke a $3000 tv and we have been having to buy new coats, appliance, etc because our stuff is being shipped around the country without delivery. Unprofessional and awful service.

They outsourced to American knights!! Who broke so much of my collectibles. I really am extremely disappointed and I was given wrong information on filing a claim so I paid 8,000$ to have my broken stuff relocated! Fragile boxes were decimated, and my glassware obliterated!

I came upon ACME Relocation and its reviews here on Consumer Voice. ACME was rated 9.9. In my experience, ACME and InstaMove (the company ACME had handle the move) each earned a 9.9 rating, that is if what you're looking for is having your furniture bagged up and chipped, your belongings packed so poorly that numerous items will be damaged or broken, unnecessary charges added, deceptive promises, no responses, and terrible service. If you’re looking for even more stress during your move, then I highly recommend them.
