Zip Moving & Storage

I'm a single girl, my family lives in another state, and I needed the contents of my tiny apartment moved from one apartment to another on a limited budget. Alex, Tom, and Zip Movers came through for me. On the day of I got a call from Alex saying he was stuck in traffic but was on his way. I was too stuck in the same traffic so truly appreciated this. The couch ended up being much larger than we thought and we had issues getting it through the door. The movers very patiently took the legs off the couch to get it through the door. I was amazed at how fast they were able to move all my furniture and boxes out of my fourth-floor walk-up apartment. The whole process took about 3 hours and the friendly attitude of all of the movers definitely helped me to feel less stressed about moving. Totally recommend them for a local move or if moving into or out of Washington, DC.

I was blown away by Zip Movers customer service both in the office and during the move. Moving during covid is quite stressful. Ned and his team were professional, on time, quick, and kind. Absolute care and attention were taken to every single item, they disassembled and reassembled when necessary, and were incredibly cautious when it came to tight corners and fragile items. I really can't compliment them enough, excellent attitude, and outstanding service.

We used Zip Moving to move from Maryland to Atlanta- Georgia 2 months ago. The experience was so amazing that we vowed to write a great review. I worked with Jason and David from the Maryland branch and they were both knowledgeable and personable. What's more- they did my move in such an efficient manner. I paid the actual estimate given to me over the phone by David! Did not go over the estimated price, which is very unusual for moving businesses I have to say. My furniture was padded and wrapped. These guys were so thorough! My only regret that I should have tipped them more. We will absolutely 100% use Zip Moving for our next move and recommend them to our friends and family!

This company is totally an outstanding business especially in handling their customers. We were still trying to close on our house and weren't sure if we would make the original date we scheduled for the move. Daria was very accommodating and was able to reschedule us for the following day without issue. Zach, Ned, and Victor- They were amazing!! They were so efficient, I just sat back as they moved everything! And when I say everything, I mean everything, I was not ready to move and they packed up all my little things and big things from my bedroom and moved them over to my new place right into my new bedroom! I highly recommend them whether your move is big or small.

At first they seemed like a good company, but I should have noticed the red flags - the biggest one, their refusal to do an onsite estimate. They "packed" and moved our 3/2 with 3 guys in one day. It took them 13 hours and halfway through the day they were just throwing things around and shoving stuff in boxes. After 9 hours they had me sign a revised estimate for $900 more than the original, which I agreed to. Then at 10pm when I had left to put my kids to bed, they pulled up a second truck and packed up an entire shed full of things I told them not to pack. They also packed floor mats we wrote "do not pack" on and our fire alarm, literal trash, and old shelf liners, to name a few other things. Then, after they left they sent me an invoice for double the price. When I requested the estimate I signed, they gave me one where they changed all the numbers after I signed - then told me I had signed that. Aside from breaking a bunch of stuff, throwing around our belongings like they were junk and extorting us for $10,000 (not delivering until we agreed to pay twice the original price) - it was unpleasant to be yelled at by the "owner" about it being normal business practice to alter signed documents and not inform their customers. There were a multitude of other issues, but there is a limit to the amount I can add here. Bottom line, AVOID THIS COMPANY!
