I booked this company for a move from New York to North Carolina. At first, everything seemed great. I spoke with Charlie, who helped me get what I felt was a reasonable price. I then spoke with Maya and Tom in customer service, completed a video walkthrough of my belongings, signed the required paperwork, and confirmed the details of my move. My pickup was scheduled for Sunday between 12–3 PM. On Saturday, the driver unexpectedly called me saying he was about an hour away. I explained that my pickup was scheduled for Sunday, not Saturday. He checked the schedule and confirmed that I was correct and that he would come the following day. Sunday came and no one showed up. My dad and sister waited for the movers all day, and there was no pickup. I tried calling the company multiple times and could not get the situation resolved. Because the service I paid for was never provided, I stopped/canceled the payment afterward. Then on Wednesday, Maya called me and claimed that my payment had been canceled even though “they already picked up my belongings.” That was completely false. No mover ever came to my home and nothing was ever picked up. When I explained this to her, instead of showing any concern or trying to understand what happened, she was incredibly dismissive and rude. She actually said to me, “Well, you got your money, right? So what’s the problem?” and then hung up on me. The problem is that I booked a moving company, planned an interstate move around their confirmed pickup window, had family waiting for them, and they simply never showed up. Then instead of apologizing or investigating why their system apparently showed a pickup that never happened, I was treated like I was the problem. I am extremely disappointed in both the service and the way customer service handled the situation afterward. Moving is already stressful enough. Customers should be able to rely on the company they hire to show up when promised and, at the very least, be treated with basic professionalism and respect when something goes wrong. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
