Couldn’t be more satisfied with my first experience here. I had to relocate suddenly when I received news of my job transfer and while no one was willing to help me, Menards Moving came through and booked my move despite the inconvenience. Since I couldn’t scrape out time to come visit in person, my move manager, planned the whole thing and noted down my inventory and requirements through regular video calls. Then on moving day, it was relieving when everything went as planned. I honestly couldn’t have pulled this off on my own!

If I had the option to leave a zero star I would. This company use fraudulent practices and tactics to conduct business on the highest level. I provided the company with an itemized list of items that I would be shipping, they gave me a quote based on the items I listed which I was ok with. When the truck arrived, they stated that the items that I was given the estimate for could not hold in the space that was reserved for it and I would need to pay 2000 in additional, to the $3.000 dollars I was already paying for them to take the listed items. In addition, there would also be a charge to move the items from the storage to the truck of and additional 100 per every 50ft that the driver walk because the unit was located on the upstairs. I would like to add that the agreement stated that they would pack and wrap and none of that was done by the company. This company failed to use accurate measurements, of items and underestimated the size of the items in order to make the sale knowing that once the sale is completed and the three days have passed for cancelation, they would then use extortion as a way to seal the deal. The driver shows up, tells you "You will need more space and it's going to cost 2000 if you can't pay right now, we can't take your things" This puts pressure on the person to have to make an on-the-spot decision. Despite being told by Menards that the price was a certain amount for all items. I could go on and, on the misconduct, but I don't have enough time. The takeaway here is DO NOT USE THIS company, they are deceptive, they use fraudulent practices and tactics to trick customers that in the end cost the customers to lose out on their money. I am adding to this review because I noticed that the “owner”responded to this post not to acknowledge the deficit of his organization , but rather to say “ people like you” who exactly is people like you Mr owner? Can you please be clear so that we can all understand to whom you are referring to. Your response to my review and many others that I’ve read are inappropriate and unprofessional. This tells me that you lack the ability to properly engage and resolve issue on a level that a true leader should. The truth is and will remain your organization is a a scam, your taking money from innocent family’s who are trying to get a fresh start. Your company misrepresented never stating you were a broker, then underestimated the quote to get the sale and then leave families to deal with the result of that lie. You should be ashamed of yourself. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY 7/9/24 Dear Mr owner, I am not having trouble with my moving company, I am having trouble with YOUR moving company. Menards moving and storage. In my initial review, I did extend to your organization the opportunity to talk and resolve and to date I have received zero response. Instead I wake up to find insults laid out in a condescending tone from the owner. All while failing to acknowledge the real issue. I will absolutely write a book on this platform and on as many platform as I so choose to bring attention to this matter. Consumers deserve honesty and transparency. They deserve to be protected from illegal practices and conduct. Just so you know I am still open to communication with you Mr owner (I don’t think you mentioned your name) you have my contact let’s have a professional and courteous conversation about these issue and try to come to an amicable resolution. 7/17 So Mr Menards offered the opportunity for me to reach out and talk to him directly and then chose not to accept my calls. Instead he sent his agent who was rude and disrespectful to call and offer no solution but to instead make the situation worse. They came with the lies, about me having additional things outside what was discussed which was not true and insisted that I breached the contract. lol NO MENARDS MOVING and STORAGE a contract build on lies and misinformation is not valid. You LIED about the space needed and the changes you're a rip of and I will continue to spread the word. The remedy the owner proposed was that I remove my honest google review before he agrees to rectify the situation. Thats not a solution, that's blackmail. the public deserve to make have access to information that allows them to make informed decisions. That said the review stays!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! This is by far the absolute worst and deplorable company to deal with . They do not stick to their word , they increase their pricing at time of pick up and there is zero communication between them and the third party driving companies they hire to move your stuff after they have collected their payment. They also store your stuff in a warehouse for an extended period of time instead of doing the job themselves. They are scoundrels and even the driver said that this is not the first instance (of the same nature) that he has encountered with them. You are better off paying a little more to a more reputable company that has their stuff together because Menards IS NOT IT!!!! Mr Menard you need to stop scamming people and putting the blame on the customers asking them if they are a real person. You sound very unprofessional in your response comments and it shows. You take 0 responsibility and I’ve had almost the same problems as these other customers. I will gladly upload the entire signed contract with your logo on it if you would like.

I was in a back and forth between two moving companies, Josh from menards promised me a final price that would not be adjusted and risen when the movers came. I asked over and over again if this was a final price. Although, the other company tried to warn me that menards was the type of company that lied about pricing then charge you differently. The movers came and then said the price is not actually the final price . Whatever you sign up for pricing wise , could end up being anything. I should have listened to the other company. Reading through other bad reviews , it is kind of scary and unprofessional how menards responds to them and refuses responsibility after being caught continuously lying to customers. For reference i gave exact measurements of my storage unit, and was charged 2k extra upon arrival of the movers. Update to comment: Josh had stated that he was a manager at menards but yet the response says that he is new, I have many screenshots of lies that menards has told me and a signed contact. Please be careful booking with this company and read the bad reviews, they are absolutely scamming by lying to people unfortunately. Saying that other companies are doing what THEY are doing. The movers do not tell you that you are paying a ton more than quoted until after they have already packed your things on the truck to most likely hold them hostage as josh said other companies would Update 2: The movers do not know when they will be able to deliver my things, I have a strict policy with my building where I need to tell them in advance to reserve the elevator, and take off time from my job, for the movers to call me at the prescheduled date/time they were supposed to be here and tell me if they cannot deliver and dont know when they can. This whole process has been incredibly frustrating and expensive and unprofessional
