This move was by far the worst I have ever experienced. I contacted long haul movers not knowing they were a broker. I was never told that. I went through my house explaining everything I had, size etc and was quoted $6800. My first clue was when arena called me about 4-5 PM on Friday. I was scheduled for the move Sunday or Monday.

First of all my state is not even listed (Kansas) as a destination. I contacted Nationwide movers to move me from Houston TX to Wichita KS and had no idea that they were going to broker this job out. They called me the day before I was schedule to load and stated that they had a truck available and could not guarantee that I would be able to have a pick up in time to make my closing if I did not take this driver. I was then brokered out to Arena Van lines and the nightmare began. I was promised 4-5 men to load a 3-bedroom house and 2 guys showed up. It took them until the night to get everything on the truck and they of course halfway through let me know that the cost would go up because I had more boxes (keep in mind that I had already paid an extra fee to Nationwide for the additional boxes) The cost went from the quoted $6,000.00 for the move to a total of over $8,000.00. I paid extra for select items (mirrors and marble tables) to be packed by the movers so it was very disheartening with I noticed that all they did was take boxes that I had purchased to pack, cut them up, wrap a blanket around the item and then tape the box around the item (he used so many of the boxes that I had purchased and we ran short of packing boxes). They put boxes on the truck that were empty and charged me for them and left other items that had been paid for to transport. The drop off of my items was another nightmare as the driver would not open the truck to let me look at the contents until I paid him in cash (I believe this is considered holding your belongings hostage). As they brought in my belongings, I noticed that several things were broken and attempted to address it but because neither of the 2 individuals that were off loading spoke English, all they would say was that they did not load the items. They then proceeded to knock holes in the walls of my new house to the point that I started crying. I had marked all the boxes with what room they were to go into and marked the rooms as well as the walls to indicate where the items should be placed. None of this was honored and most of the boxes were dumped in the front room regardless of how they were marked. Months later when I got all of the boxes in place and started to unpack, I found out that 4 boxes (one out of each of the rooms- one box contained a clock that was a jewelry box with gold jewelry in it) had been taken and my belongings were gone. Unfortunately, I found this out after I had submitted a claim, but it would have made no difference because the insurance company got out of pay for the thousands of dollars of damaged that was done by saying that the pay 60 cents per pound. The insurance company offered me $247.00 for weel over 2-3 thousand dollars' worth of damage and disregarded the 30 photographs that I sent to them. I believe that Nationwide is a rip-off company as they continuously state that it is in the contract when you attempt to bring up a concern and Arena Vanlines should be charged for the number of scams that they are running as I have read over 20 reviews that are so close to what I experienced that I have flashbacks. The items I listed to Nationwide did not change drastically but the cost went from 6,000.00 to over 8,700.00 at the end when they had my belongings on the truck and knew I had to be in Kansas by a certain date. There also appears to be a criminal sense of Planned Lack of Accountability as all the drivers are non-English speaking and take not responsibility for anything. Please, Please do not use either of these companies if you treasure your belongings.

We purchased this service thru a broker Exclusive Moving LLC. At the time we thought they were the company we were hiring. They were a broker and did not tell us thru the whole process. We paid them for the move, and packing up the house and delivering of the furniture. At no time was it mentioned to us that the furniture would be off loaded in Chicago warehouse till another truck could deliver our goods to Minn. The driver and his helper came into our house and started packing it up. Usually there are different size boxes for what they would be packing items into, they use wardrobe boxes for over 90% of what they packed. Wardrobe boxes are one of the most expensive boxes they could use and should only be used for clothes. Bottles that were manufacture sealed they put their cheap tape over that and took hours to peel off. Their inventory list only had the number tag and no mention what was in the boxes. We were not informed of the layover in Chicago, we thought it would be point to point and the longest wait would be 2 or 3 days. Our furniture ended up in a Chicago warehouse where it was off loaded and stored. I called them every day for an update as we were paying rent on our apt. After several days of being told they were waiting for a truck going to Minn. They informed us they had a truck after about 4 days. The driver and his helper arrived and were very impatient calling us up several times on our arrival to the Apt. When they released the straps of our load it fell backwards into the truck. Boxes furniture fell forward and was a big mess. The driver had only been a driver for 3 days and had no knowledge of what he was doing. The driver carried the boxes from the truck to the elevator where his helper would pick up the boxes and putting them into the apt. There was a sea of wardrobe boxes waiting to be unpacked. His helper was trying to help us unpack the boxes and set up the beds, the T.V. The Driver comes into the apt wants us to sign the inventory papers which just had numbers no contents. At that time, we noticed there were some broken items which the driver didn't seem to be worried about. We told the driver he had to put the beds together, his answer is he did not take them down and did not know how to put them together. His helper was super thru this and embarrassed on the driver behavior. I would tell anyone seeing them drive up to their house to bite the bullet on money given to broker and get a reputable moving company that will pay for broken items.

Moving a 1 bedroom house. Was qouted 4800, but at every step in the process it keeps getting more and more expensive (now over 6100). It took them 32 days to deliver my belongings after I was first able to get a hold of someone in the office. Their 24/7 customer support line is never answered, nor do they respond to emails sent to their customer service email. When they picked up my belongings they left my house a mess with empty tape rolls all over and bits of tape mashed into the carpeting. When they delivered my goods they quoted me a 4 day window in which they would arrive and then didn't show up in that window. They then expected me to drop everything in my life to accommodate their needs when they wanted to deliver. This company does not care about its customers. I think they are just scam artists taking advantage of people. I will never hire this company again and strongly recommend others find a different company
