It would have been cheaper and more convenient to take all my belongings outside, burn them and buy new possessions once I arrived at my new location. MMG Moving's employees are careless and lack any integrity...not surprising for a company owned by Matthew Pardi, a man indicted for moving fraud scheme worth over $12 million (https://www.justice.gov/usao-edpa/pr/florida-based-moving-company-operators-indicted-moving-fraud-scheme-worth-over-12). One or several of the charges against Pardi relate to website/business rating manipulation and it would appear that this company are still employing these deceptive businee practices. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
We moved to Georgia which wasn’t an option. This is the worst company. Avoid them at all costs. My husband and I used movers direct (broker) we were mislead to believe that movers direct was the company who would be moving us. We were then contracted out to mmg and the nightmare began. The “manager” Jeremy or something is a complete waste of air and space. They had us sign a contract that had our original quote then they CHANGED the price AFTER signed. Direct movers said they would waive the pick up fee and we’d pay in full upon delivery. After reaching out to mmg about our stuff numerous times we were told we hadn’t paid so our stuff was in storage??? Why didn’t you tell us that immediately especially after we had called numerous times. Oh because they suck. Our belongings were picked up 6/23/23 and delivered 30 minutes from our house because they wanted another 2k for a shuttle fee. We declined. (Oh and btw Jeremy our stuff fit into the 1,000 cubic feet truck we rented and a few things in the bed of our truck so you were wrong). Our stuff is completely ruined: my beautiful chair is covered in black, floor lamps have been destroyed, punctured a hole in our sleep number mattress, boxes open, crushed, wet??? We made sure to take photos of everything, documented our entire encounter with this horrible company, we are warning everyone of them, even have spoke. With people who are still waiting for their stuff since early June and cannot get a response. This company lies nonstop, traps you, forces you to sign a new contract for a higher number the day they are moving and not a higher number by like 500 dollars but by THOUSANDS. Stay away from them.
