(I paid for the crews' lunches for two days, which was about another $100, plus the time I was later charged for them eating.) In all, the move cost about $412.00 per hour. For the record, I enjoyed the crew that moved my mom, but the business practice of the owner who misled us on the cost was incredibly unprofessional. I would have fought it on the phone with the owner, but my mom with Alzheimer's was getting upset as this was all done in front of her. I paid it, apologized to the crew that they would not get a tip because there was nothing to give, and decided to alert the public to this business practice.
