Capital City Moving

I wish I could give less than one star. The move west from Ohio to Florida. This form would not allow me to put that in. I had just lost my 28-year-old son and husband of 25 years and could not there to look at their belongings anymore. I put a friend in charge and tagged the items that were on my inventory list. They paid no attention. I kept only about 5% of my belongings that were precious to me. Many of those were left behind. The beautiful painting that hung on my parents wall more than 40 years was ripped from one into the other, antiques destroyed, my mothers wedding ring and laptop stolen. My items were held hostage for two months in a place that obviously had mice . Everything they handled was destroyed. They had three ”jobs” on the truck and they mixed them up. The other people in South Dakota and here in Florida and I are working on exchanging items with each other. The movers even gave a couple of strange men from my neighborhood money to help bring things in. One of these men was obnoxious and had a foul mouth. I ordered him out of my house. If this is how they treat a struggling widow and mother who just lost her beloved son, I would hate to see how they treat the average person. I have called several times and asked for a complaint form to be emailed to me. What a shock. It never was. Makes me wonder who they paid to put in the five star reviews. Avoid this company at all cost!!! I cannot stress this enough!

Reached out for a quote and when I wasn’t satisfied and decided to go a different route employee text me telling me, “good luck finding a truck!” Found this extremely unprofessional and this after he harassed me with phone calls and wouldn’t allow me to think about the quote before making a decision. Very pushy and rude. Would not recommend this company is they are this bad just at the quote process I can only imagine how unprofessional they are once you actual sign on with them

One of the worse experiences of my life. These people are not movers, they will take your money and then try to broker your move to someone completely different leaving you empty handed. We were moving to Florida and needed a movers we contacted these guys and it start all nice you give them the deposit and they pass off the job to anybody. The movers didn't show up on the day they were supposed to, after several calls we were finally told that ""they were running late" and would arrive the next day. So we wait the next day and they show up later of course. They pack our stuff and drive away, then they call us and try to hold our things hostage and ask for more money, $2000 more money when we repeatedly asked the mover if we were ok on space. We eventually were able to agree on the original price.....and then we never saw our things again. Its been 4 months and we can't get a hold of the company, Capital City won't help and now we are dealing with having nothing, including our families most cherished things. My kids are so sad that none of their things are with them. These are heartless and horrible people. Please stay away.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! One star is too many. They are a broker not a moving company. No accountability! 7 weeks, still no delivery. The company they brokered us to ,EXPEDITE AUTHORITY PRO MOVERS out of Atlanta area lie over and over. Complaint filed with DOT. AT this point we consider our stuff and money stolen. These people are scam artist and having destroyed multiple peoples lives. They are not a moving company, they are a broker who takes no responsibility for the lives they have destroyed. They will represent themselves as the movers at first in order to secure your payment (deposit), then after getting your money they won't follow up with the actual moving company. Its been months since our move and we have no idea where our belongings are, all because of Capital City Moving. They should be shut down as soon as possible. Please read actual reviews on Yelp....the positive reviews on this site are fake reviews and should not be considered. Now all our belongings are gone and all our money gone.

Excellent, good value service! 5 stars! Orville and his helper were very friendly and moved me very quickly and promptly. It was outstanding value for money too! Surely recommend using them. Very hardworking. Nice guys, worked at speed.
