M&M Movers was founded in 1972 in Lake Forest, IL by an immigrant from Ireland. Maura Martinek has started her own business as M&M Movers company, and through her hard work and dedication made it into one of the most reputable moving companies in the area.

In 2020, after almost half a century in business, Maura retired and left the business to her son, David. With 25 years in the moving industry, David has spent most of his time at M&M movers, while he also gained valuable experience at both United and Clark and Reid while living on the East Coast. Today, his focus is to maintain a high level of customer service Chicagoland has come to expect from M&M Movers.
