TERRIBLE COMPANY, BIG SCAMMERS. I was charged over $8,000. For moving a bedroom set, a TV, a small office desk, 2 oriental vases, 3 dressers and 20 boxes. They did not move all my boxes and left me to clean up the mess they made at the old apartment. I was quoted a price of nearly 4,000.. Once the items were on the truck, the price went up to $8,600. Plus they expected 10% commission. I had to go to the bank 3 times to get cash for them. What a way to scam a senior citizen. After the move, I have been trying to contact Lisa Marie and my e-mail keeps on getting rejected and returned. Will contact the BBB and Angi as I got it from them. The biggest SCAM ever.

I could give negative stars I would. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! This company is broker not a moving company. I originally signed with them Jan 18th,2023 for a move on March 28th, 2023. The last communication I received was Feb 7th, 2023. This company will leave you high and dry. Do not waste your time, and money! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and plan to seek possible legal charges as well. After trying to reach this company for weeks, including email where it was returned blocked, I received a call from a Mr. Jordan B on Sunday March 26th, 2023 at 10:16 am pst, who was beyond horrible. He was condescending, rude, talk over me at every syllable I uttered. Mr. Jordan B said he was trying to put out fires but could not even be bothered to listen to me. I lucky found a local mover who would do the job and now am able to continue my move as planed but BUYER AWARE this company went in Jan from city line movers to rebranding as city line movers Corp...... there is something fishy going on!!!!!!

DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS. THEY ARE NOT A MOVING COMPANY. PLEASE READ BELOW. THE OLD NAME OF THIS COMPANY IS CITY LINE MOVERS. I was contacted by Geoff from City Line Movers after a search through Angi (Angie’s List). I initially filled out the inventory list and was provided a very fair quote for our move from Dallas to Orlando. After speaking with Geoff on the phone, a thorough inventory was performed and the quote went up by $1,000. Since the inventory was more accurate and included more items, we were ok with this. We paid the deposit of $1,900. A week before our move, we emailed City Line Movers at 3 different email addresses provided and immediately received an error message saying our emails were blocked. In a panic, we called multiple times until we got ahold of Lisa Marie. We were told their email addresses were compromised and they had new emails. Two days before the move, a third and final inventory was performed over the phone with Lisa Marie. Our call was 1 hour and 42 minutes long. I though it was odd that Lisa Marie kept overestimating the cubic feet of every item I listed, therefore exponentially increasing our quote. She kept telling me her calculator was set to millimeters instead of centimeters. If I wouldn’t have caught her deceptive attempt at mis-measuring our items, our third and (what we thought was final) quote would have increased way more than an additional $2,000. I was told our final quote (which went from $6,000 to now over $8,000) would absolutely not change and this was our final number. The day of the move, two movers from another moving company came to pack all of our items. An hour later, “City Line Movers” arrived with the truck. We were quoted an entire 26 foot truck. We were told by Alex (the foreman at City Line Movers) he brought a 28 foot truck and so we were going to have to pay for the entire truck. He also told us we had way more stuff than quoted and tried to increase our quote an additional $4,000 (we’re now at $12,000 total). He added on “bulk packaging fees” that were not originally quoted, including an extra $500 to move our “motorcycle” which we don’t own. We were able to get ahold of the “general manager” Daniel Orr. He called me a liar and said he had a recorded call in which I claimed I was removing items off of our inventory list. I happily asked him to listen to the call (all 2 hours) as this was a complete lie and another attempt at trying to get more money out of us. At this point, 75% of our items and been loaded into the truck. Daniel spoke down to me and would only speak to my husband regarding the quote. After a lot of back and forth, my husband agreed to pay for the additional cubic feet in the truck but not a cent more. We were told the movers were driving straight to Orlando the next day and would be there in 48 hours. Thankfully we had an item with an air tag in the truck because we saw that the truck with our items was dumped at a warehouse and the employees at City Line Movers flew back home to New Jersey where the company is actually based out of. After sending friends out to the location of our items, we were able to get ahold of the owner of the warehouse and pay another moving company $2,500 to bring our items to us. City Line Movers are not a moving company, they are a BROKERAGE. This company SCAMS people, leaves them without their belongings, the company goes under, and they change the company name. They are on their THIRD company name (OLD TOWN VAN LINES) from what we were able to find through online research. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I wish I listened to the negative reviews.

Stay away. Total rip-off. Forget about timely delivery, just right on their quote + 30 to 40 days. Overcharged using scam tactics. Lost some items and took 3 months to deliver expensive bike which was part of original moving qoute. I will mention Lisa Marie as she was the only person helping us- thank you Lisa. I think that honesty goes a long way in these days. I'm glad it's over even lost monies. I can't say anything positive, except they did finally deliver the bike.
