We contracted with US Standard Van Lines to move our 2 bedroom home from New York to Atlanta. Quote was sent out quickly, but when the movers arrived onsite the quote came in at 3 times higher price. The move took 3 weeks to deliver and left us with no furniture to live with. Upon arrival, our couches, desk, TV stand, and mountain bikes were all damaged and unusable. The movers also lost a vacuum, family pictures, and other items. We also found the movers packed our boxes only half full causing us increased costs in packaging and shipment costs. When we reached out to US Standard Van Lines they refused to help. Then they threatened to block our number when we were trying to resolve the damage and overcharges. Then they blocked our number. The moving insurance offered us $90 on over $8,000 in documented damage. This service represents the worst of the industry and is backed by scam insurance. Avoid at all cost.

Stay away from this company at all costs. Their mover failed to show up for the first move and I made a deposit that I never received back. They did find a new mover and I was charged 28% more on a binding estimate. Have made several calls to get my deposit back on the failed move and no one responds or takes action. It has been 8 months since I was promised my refund. Horrible experience.

US Standard Moving cancelled my moving service in July, 2021, and emailed me to agree to refund me the upfront deposit paid to them. But they never paid me and never replied my emails and phone calls. They are out of business now. Is there any way we can still get back our deposits? I know they never wanted to pay back from the first day. I believe many customers are in the same boat and got ripped off.

Extremely disappointed—believe the other negative reviews. Deceptive cost estimate intentionally underestimated the volume required for my move to make their cost competitive. The inventory lists an accurate count of the items to move, and when the movers finally arrived after rescheduling multiple times they said I needed three times the volume I was quoted.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! Very unprofessional! We clearly told them our situation and what we wanted moved. When the movers got here, they said they had to upcharge us because they had to walk more than 75 ft. and they also had to upcharge us because the second floor was more than 10 STEPS!! We called and talk to a Kathy who basically told us that it was in our contract. Initially, I told the guy to cancel it..and he said he couldn't...then I told him to keep doing the inventory and I will pay the upcharge. As I was talking to my friend on the phone concerning the misinformation, she mentioned not to tip them. The mover then grabbed his papers and said that was not cool and walked out the door. Now...let me be very clear...I have no problems tipping people for great service at all..but to expect a tip before you even begin lifting one thing? And there's no guarantee that the service will be at a minimum 'good'? To get mad and walk out was also very unprofessional of them. So...when I called Standard Van Lines customer service to tell them what happened, I was told 'I'm going to call the movers because there has to be more to this story'....REALLY???!!! Now...first off...I do not get my refund because they are sticking with the fact that I cancelled and ignored the fact that the movers walked out...and I had a witness on the phone. Kathy from customer service stated that she was the 'manager', but was very unprofessional and rude to the point where she started fussing with me because we said we were not going to tip...and then hung up. And to think...as a veteran, this is what I served my country for.
