BAIT AND SWITCH PRICES, DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE SCAMMERS. MONEY-HUNGRY BUMS WHO ARE UNTRUTHFUL AND HAVE NO REMORSE. DO NOT USE

My moving experience has been, by far, the worst transaction I’ve ever made in my life. It started off by being late when the salesperson with Standard Van Lines I spoke to told me that everything would definitely be picked up by a certain date so that I could book a flight. Turns out after I complained when they were late, customer service told me they never should have said that as they can’t guarantee pick up dates. So I wasted money on a flight, and the movers came about 8 days later. The next issue was that when the movers with Non Stop Moving finally did come, we came to find out that the salesperson botched my inventory by putting smaller items when the items should have been bigger (for example – I told him I had 20-25 plastic bins. He put those as small boxes, which is more than twice as small). This along with other mistakes caused my inventory cost to go from $3,900 to $6,200. When Non Stop Moving moved my belongings into the new house, as I’m unpacking I found that a bag of custom clothes were stolen, along with all of my watches that were in a watch box (which was taped up inside of one of the plastic bins – meaning someone went through my stuff). When I brought this up to the movers, all they could say was that “it’s not my responsibility” – how is it not your responsibility when you’re literally in possession of my items? When I called Non-Stop Moving about this, whoever I spoke to basically implied I was lying about what was missing and that there’s no way of knowing what was really in there. It’s been hard to get in touch with either company and whenever I finally do get in touch with them, they don’t really provide any help to rectify the situation. This all happened in mid-September. It’s not early November and I have yet to hear a thing from either company or claims. My claim was put in a month and a half ago and I’ve heard nothing. Expensive and sentimental items just gone with no way of getting them back. If I was to move again, I’m one of the laziest people but I would do it all myself rather than going through either of these companies ever again. This experience has wasted so much time and money.

I needed to make a move from my apartment in Philadelphia to South Jersey. When I talked to the representative on the phone I was misinformed and told I could make the full payment of 1717.13 for the move and not informed that I was just suppose to pay the drivers (who were with a different company) for pick up and drop off. The move was scheduled for the 15th but they arrived on the 16th. That was not an issue but when I was informed that the drivers were not paid I called to clarify with Standard Van Lines and was then informed that I would have to pay again and that they would refund me a check. To make matters worse I did not receive my items until Monday which formed me to miss an important meeting and to conduct my class with my college students virtually. It is currently 10/29 and I still have not received my refund check. As a result, I was forced to make a claim and may have to take them to court. Please Please do not trust or give this company any of your hard-earned money. They do not care and you will be taken advantage of!

SCAM! STAY AWAY! I had to involve the police and lawyer just to get the goods. They will take your money and vanish. They are a broker company who hired "United Pro Moving, LLC" for the actual moving. The movers did not show up on the day of move and the day after either. Absolutely no communication from them about the change of timings. I called several times and US Standard just kept telling us that they cannot contact the movers either. After calling several times we were given a later date. My belongings were in a warehouse and I had to pay for repeated rescheduling of pickup date. On the new date, the mover (just one guy) showed up 5 hours late, with no blankets and tapes. So we rescheduled again for next day so that he can come with all the required equipment. He then tells me that the goods are double the space I was quoted for. This after picking the goods from a storage unit where I knew the exact cu ft of the goods. I eventually ended up paying extra $600 for more space and "wrapping the furniture" .After the pickup the movers vanished. They don't call, don't respond to messages, even US Standard told us they can't reach them for most of the duration. We got very anxious and stressed as weeks went by with absolutely no update. Worst customer service. The customer reps are extremely rude and hang up on you. We ended up complaining to the police. After we told them we are involving police, they delivered our stuff. 1.5 months after the pickup. They showed up with a rented truck and hired a couple of local movers to carry the goods to our place. A lot of kitchen items were totally damaged along with furniture. Save yourself the trouble and hire a better company!

I was quoted $4812.30 for the move and forced to pay $8,800. They listed all my large items plus 50 boxes and told me that would be 680 cubic feet and as long as I didn't add anymore large items that the price would not go up. When the movers were done and packed up it came out to 1500 cubic feet and they said the list of items I gave them was way more than 680 cubic feet and I was given an inaccurate estimate. When I contacted US Standard Van Lines they said I got the estimate from a " bad apple" and would still not release my items until the extra thousands were paid. This company is a scam and there is a reason why they're not BBB accredited. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office.
