We had a great move with General moving & storage. They were incredibly precise, careful and mindful of walls, floors, and fragile/delicate items. They stuck to the quote with no unpleasant surprises. The rate was fair and I was very satisfied with what I got for the price. In my experience this is a solid, cost-effective moving company. This is the first time my wife and I have used movers and we'd use this company again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely worst place to go to. DO NOT PICK THEM. I have never written any bad review for anyone but this was absolutely insane. From the beginning to the end. I got a TEXT the night before the movers were to come at 9 pm or so saying sorry they can't tomorrow because of last second cancellation and the only way it could happen is if we paid a couple hundred dollars more. Long story short- a WHOLE lot of stress, going back and forth and being lied to every single conversation. I wish I picked someone else. Last second I had to rent a truck and do everything myself because of the time restraints and how expensive it was to get a last second Uhaul. Ridiculous. Negative stars. Not eve
I have to relocate very frequently and that is why I used many movers but I never got a perfect move until I used General Moving & Storage. When I hired them my expectations were not so high because of my previous experiences. But last time I had a completely different experience. These movers gave their best and delivered me the best move of my life. It was a timely, smooth, stress free, very affordable move and damage free move. All I wanted from a mover!
You should definitely hire General moving & storage if you want to have a stress free move. We all know moving sucks. But they were great and I would definitely hire them if I had to move again. They were a pleasure to deal with and nothing, not one thing was broken or scratched. Their pricing structure is as simple as it can be and from what I could figure, reasonable too. They are just great to work with.
The guys that came to move us were exceptionally great to us and the way that they packed up our whole place and were so professional! General moving & storage did an outstanding job taking down our furniture and putting it back together. We are so very glad we went with this company. I would just like to say a personal thank you to the customer service team, the sales rep and the moving guys, you all did an outstanding job!
