We even treated them to some chai, which they thoroughly enjoyed, as they mentioned their love for Indian films and even sang along to some songs during the move.

When we initially connected with a sales representative from United American Moving and Storage, they recommended using an app to assess our belongings. However, the app didn't work for me, so I requested a physical assessment. They were accommodating and sent someone to our home. The only drawback was the app, which could have potentially saved time. The representative who conducted the walkthrough was professional and swiftly provided us with a quote using his iPad. During our move, three wardrobe boxes were inadvertently left behind. We discovered this because we were searching for a specific item that was not in any of the boxes. Fortunately, our previous home was still accessible, and with the help of a friend, we retrieved the boxes from a closet. It would have been beneficial if the moving company had checked all areas, including closets, to ensure nothing was overlooked. Additionally, upon unloading the truck, the movers failed to mention a checkoff sheet that would have identified missing boxes. When I discussed the missing boxes with a helpful representative who assisted with payment and arrangements, she mentioned the checkoff sheet. However, this information was not provided when our belongings were being delivered. In such situations, it should be the responsibility of the moving company to locate any missing items, rather than relying on us to send friends to search for boxes left behind. Another issue we encountered was arranging for professional disassembly and reassembly of a treadmill and grandfather clock. Despite numerous interactions with the main office, we struggled to get a definitive answer. Finally, a contractor was assigned, but it became apparent that he couldn't handle the job alone, especially with the treadmill. After experiencing difficulties coordinating schedules due to traffic and weather, we decided to find our own contractors in the area. United American Moving and Storage reimbursed us for half the cost, which allowed us to secure skilled professionals locally at a lower expense. The clock specialist we hired used to work with gym equipment and was able to assemble the treadmill as well. This turned out to be a positive outcome, as we received better service and value for our money by employing professionals who specialize in specific tasks. Overall, while we encountered some challenges with the app, missing boxes, and contractor coordination, we ultimately found solutions and were satisfied with United American Moving and Storage.
