United American Moving and Storage

I recently relocated to Los Angeles for a new job. My company, United American Moving and Storage, contracted them on my behalf. I guess United American, Moving and Storage, does all the employee relocations. Anyway, I can see why my company chooses to work with them as they are very professional and easy to work with. The guys that performed the move did very well the whole way through. They showed up on time and worked hard until the job got done. It was a 4-bedroom house, and they managed to get everything done in one day, which was amazing. I moved from NY, and it took about a week for my goods to arrive at the destination. The delivery crew was different than the pickup crew but just as good. This is the third time I had to work with a moving company, and by far, the better of the three moves. My sales rep Brian was amazing, and I would recommend United American, Moving and Storage, to anyone moving.

Leon assisted in moving my grandparents from their Florida home to their condo. Additionally, he moved extra items from the condo to Chicago and Wisconsin for my family. I was there for the drop-off at my parents' house and my own. Leon showcased efficiency, durability, and trust throughout the process. Everything was documented on paper, with numbered stickers, color coding, and organization. Leon was deliberate, clear, and concise during the move, avoiding any confusion. He had a team of normal and kind people working with him. Furniture was appropriately boxed and wrapped, arriving undamaged. He seemed to know what each box contained and arranged beds and couches correctly. Leon maintained a friendly and conversational demeanor throughout. I highly recommend Leon; he truly made the process feel like a breeze. I would give him a 10/10 and would use his services again.

We relocated from Jackson, Georgia, to Troutman, North Carolina, around 375 miles away, and our experience with United American Moving and Storage, was fantastic. Kyle, our sales agent, did an amazing job. They packed everything securely, and the unpacking at our new place was smooth. The professionalism in packing impressed both my wife and me. The representatives were considerate and punctual throughout the process. Although the initial quote was a bit high, we received a substantial refund after the move, making it well-priced overall. We are highly satisfied and strongly recommend United American Moving and Storage, especially thanks to the great work by Kyle.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with United American Moving & Storage, and I am compelled to share my disappointment with their services. My interaction with this company left me feeling misled and taken advantage of, with a significant increase in the moving cost that was not only unjustified but also unprofessionally handled. The trouble began when I was initially contacted by Dan, who claimed to work with United American Moving & Storage. Dan requested an inventory list of my large items for a move from California to Texas. I diligently provided the information, including an overestimation of medium to large-sized boxes as per his request. The quote I received for my large items and the agreed-upon 25 boxes seemed reasonable at $1,797. However, just two days before the scheduled moving date, I received a call from a dispatcher named Roxy, informing me of a supposed discrepancy in my inventory list. According to Roxy, there were more items listed in the contract than in the list I provided. When I questioned this inconsistency, she mentioned that when they say "large," it could mean all items. This sudden revelation resulted in a staggering 50% increase in the original cost, bringing the total to $2,631. I attribute this to Dan's questionable sales tactics, manipulating the process through vague questions and unclear terminology. To make matters worse, attempts to reach Dan for clarification or resolution proved futile, as I could only communicate with Roxy. Despite feeling misled and slighted, when I requested a refund of my $700 deposit due to the discrepancies and dissatisfaction with the process, Roxy flatly denied my request, citing the proximity to the pick-up date. The lack of accountability, unresponsiveness from key personnel, and the overall lack of transparency in their sales process make me strongly advise against using United American Moving & Storage. The seemingly "too good to be true" initial quote turned out to be exactly that – an illusion that ultimately led to an unpleasant and costly experience. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company at all costs.

Absolute scam, low ball estimate bait and switch. purposefully under estimate your move, take your deposit then try to jack up the price.
