My experience with VIP Movers was so bad that not only will I never use their services again, I may never be comfortable using any moving services. Efficiency: In my last move, it took the previous movers a little over an hour to pack up the truck, and about half an hour to carry everything inside at my destination. Vlad's crew took over three hours to pack up, and about an hour and a half to unpack. At least a quarter of the time they were "packing," all three movers were sitting around on the tailgate of the truck, chatting or looking at their phones. They also logged a considerable amount of time milling around the apartment in between carrying items to the truck, and poking around places like the balcony where there were no items to move. And when they did carry items to the truck, they carried as little as possible per trip--for example, a single shelf from a bookshelf. I was so fed up by the time they brought my stuff to my new house that I helped them unpack the truck. Funny, how I can unpack for 90 minutes without a break, while professional movers need multiple breaks, including a lunch break, all with the clock running. Quality: Pretty mediocre, but it could have been worse. A lot of the boxes where slightly smashed, but they contained books, so I'm optimistic I won't discover much damage when I unpack them. About two thirds of the boxes made it to the rooms they were labeled to go to. One of the posts on the cat condo was broken, which wouldn't have bothered me too much if they had told me about it. I know they know it happened, because I saw it bend in the mover's hand as he carried it, and he had to shift his grip to a different post to stabilize it. But he never said anything about it. Promptness: This part was fine. They were texted that they would arrive in 45 minutes, and arrived exactly 45 minutes later. And their arrival was within the two-hour window that I was told to expect them. Responsiveness: Nikita was wonderfully responsive to all my questions prior to the move. After the move, when I raised my concerns, he asked me to send a picture of the cat condo, and I never heard anything more after that.
