Rapid Van Lines

I was contacted by a number of people after submitted my request on Rapid van lines and chose one who had contacted me very quickly. I was very happy with their service. They are the best movers in town.

They did a great job for me. I am so impressed with their progress. They did an amazing job of packing, wrapping, and moving all our stuff. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged in any way. I'd absolutely use their services again as well. Thanks for a great job!

The booking process of the Rapid Van Lines was fast and easy. The crew has been very professional and prompt. They know everything they are doing. The Rapid Van Lines were all very professional and kind. I recommended them to all.

I started working with Joseph at Rapid Van Lines on May 15th for a planned move on June 25th, at that time I was still evaluating other moving options and had put a deposit with another moving company to lock in a good rate. The sales rep for Rapid Van Lines, Joseph, spoke disparagingly about other moving options, especially about brokers. He told me that he’d been in the industry for 20+ years told me about horrible situations and so I trusted him, cancelled my reservation with the other company and signed with Rapid Van Lines. Fast forward to now, well over 30 business days since I moved, and I still don’t have any of my stuff and have not been given any updates on when I will receive my stuff. On top of that, the actual amount I’m paying is double what I was initially quoted. They will tell you it’s because you didn’t complete the inventory list correctly, but I did exactly what I was instructed. I went room by room filling out the list and Joseph told me not to worry about the box totals because he would add those for me. To increase the cubic footage and cost, any drawer or container you have is emptied into a new box, so there is a lot of wasted space. Every other time I’ve moved, the dresser drawers are removed while the dresser is moved into the truck and then the drawers are put back into the dresser. Rapid Van Lines emptied every drawer into a box, which only wasted space and increased the amount they could charge me. One of the price discounts that I was given was only paying $1000 for a full pack. When the movers came, I was charged $2150. My cubic footage was also incorrect because Joseph never added the box estimates and also because all of the dressers were sent empty and boxes were filled with clothes. I had to pay for an additional 735 cubic feet ($4410). I have 3 little kids and I wanted to make sure we weren’t without our belongings for too long, Joseph told me that the great thing about going with Rapid Van Lines is that they would be able to get my stuff there within 5-10 business days, that I would just choose a day for the delivery. It’s now been over 30 business days, my kids have started school and they’re sleeping on the floor. I’ve had to spend money buying plates, pans, pots, etc because Rapid Van Lines isn’t delivering my belongings. I’ve had to buy furniture I already own so that I can work at my new home. My family missed watching the entire Olympics (among other things) because our TVs haven’t been delivered. Rapid Van Lines has stolen most of the excitement of my new home because it’s still empty almost 2 months after we moved. I understand things have been busy and a lot of people are moving from California, but I was given an expectation of delivery and cost and was failed on both of those. It angers me to read reviews of this company online saying Rapid Van Lines was accommodating to their last minute move and they already have their stuff. The ironic part is that Joseph told me if I chose another moving company, I would have the following issues (all of which I’ve experience with his company): - Stuff wouldn’t be picked up or would be last minute (I was called less than 12 hours before pickup to confirm pickup) - Price would be changed from initial quote when movers came (price increased by over $5000 the day of pickup) - I wouldn’t know where my stuff was (I still don’t know where my stuff is and have never been called by Rapid Van Lines with any update or apology for delay, unless I reach out) - Delivery would be delayed (I still haven’t received my stuff)
