They are nice up front but then call from different numbers and you can never call them back. Once you sign the contract you get put on the back burner. We were told we would be moved on a Monday... Nobody showed up. No phone call. We reach out they said oh tomorrow... Happened for two more days. I told them in advance this was a quick move that had to happen. They stole $1100 from us for no service provided just kept stringing us along with no intent to ever help us move. A big FU to prof move. Someone from this company needs to respond. All emails and phone numbers I have no longer work. Their website is gone. Must have a new name since too many got scammed and complained under Prof move and pro move.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS MOVER, YOU WILL HAVE MISERABLE EXPERIENCE IF YOU CHOOSE. We are struggling without our packages as it has most of needed items. Initially we were told max of two weeks is the SLA to deliver the package but the representative who helped during the quote told the moving is within the same state hence it will be delivered in 3-5 business days. But the package was not delivered yet. We have been contacting the customer care and the agent number who helped during initial quote. The customer service always busy at the end ended-up leaving a voicemail but we never got call back. The agent who helped initially was not answering the call even after leaving the voicemail, we have to call the agent from different number to catch hold. Each time the answer we are getting is ,the package is in the starting point (source) warehouse and its not yet dispatched, will check with Driver and get back. But the agent wont give call back and never pick again. Its been more than two weeks, still we have not received our packages. We don't have a clue when we get our package and whether we get it or not!?Move cost: $2000Start state: CaliforniaEnd state: California

From the very first inquiries to the pick up of the truck and the delivery on the other end, it was super seamless. They arrived early on moving day and helped us with packing. Prof Move were the cheapest as compare to all the other companies who gave us the quote. Even all the companies also wanted us to wait up to 6 weeks to get the furniture delivered while Prof Move promised us for quick delivery. Prof Move picked us up on a Friday and dropped everything off on wed which was fine. I recommend them highly.Move cost: $2200Start state: KansasEnd state: Pennsylvania

Use someone else! They completely overcharged me and took all day to move the contents of a packed 900 sq foot condo 30 miles away. I was charged $1500 for that! It took them 7 hours just to load the truck, but only 2 to unload it.Move cost: $3500Start state: HawaiiEnd state: Arizona

I have many complaints about my interaction with Madison Van Lines, but for brevity I will summarize 2 reasons why you should NOT hire Prof Move. They tried to get me to sign a gag order, and they hire local carriers to move your items and therefore take zero responsibility for anything that goes wrong during your move. This company is a complete sham. They low ball estimates to suck unsuspecting customers in and then when they are already at you home and you are stuck using them they jack up the price. In my case from a estimate of $560.00 and "not a penny more" to about $900.00 with tip. It is a shame that the owners make a living taking advantage of people who are looking for a cheep solution to commercial movers. At the end of the day, I would rather have paid the extra $240.00 to a commercial mover and not delt with feeling ripped off by this business.Move cost: $1500Start state: HawaiiEnd state: Arizona

The five guys from Prof Move arrived on time. We are really happy with the whole crew who came to us. They did a good job parking, moving and loading trucks. Delivery Was unsatisfactory. I was quoted $1,275. I expected to pay more because things were added. However, I ended up paying over $6,000. They offered me a lower price and then, by the time we were finished, the price was almost double (but they were there at the house with some things already loaded and it was too late to get someone else that quickly). They broke numerous expensive items and I can't get anyone from the insurance company to get back to me. Prof Move Customer Service said they contract out their insurance, but the customer service rep says he doesn't know the name of the insurance company. He also said the insurance company only works by email (no phone number) and after numerous phone calls to Prof Move customer service, I received the insurance company's rep's email (maybe) and while I was told her name - her email account has a different name. Further, it was a gmail email account instead of a professional company domain which was very disturbing. I emailed the "insurance woman" and she responded once and now, radio silence. And, as if all of this isn't bad enough - when I called Prof Move Customer Service AGAIN to tell them that I got one response from the insurance person, and then nothing, they just told me that I should email in to their [email protected] email so that the Prof Move owner will see it. I told him that HE SHOULD CONTACT THE OWNER but I was told to do it myself. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.Move cost: $6500Start state: CaliforniaEnd state: Tennessee

Terrible service! Moved us to BC from Ontario. Upon arrival we put our belongings into storage for 2 months while we purchased a house; when we opened our boxes we found several boxes crushed and all of our belongings inside shattered and broken, we had a missing bed, several missing boxes and items that did not belong to us. When we made a complaint to the sales person, he did not respond to us however someone from the claims department emailed and said we were past the thirty days and there was nothing they would do. I wanted to give more stars, but they basically left in a hurry without completing the job. They did not reassemble everything as I know they are required to, even after we’d asked multiple times to make sure that they knew we wanted it.There were also boxes clearly labeled for which room they belonged in yet we found them stashed them in random places. Horrible company. Prof Move sent movers that showed up asking for $200 cash to move "heavy" equipment that was already on the manifest i was quoted, on the first floor nonetheless. They then asked for $400 cash before giving me a copy of the pickup contract. complete BS. It's now almost 6 weeks (their contract's 30 business days) since i got a call or update as to where my stuff is. I have called weekly if not more often and have been told that it'll be here next Thursday or Friday and should get a call 24-48 hours before. I havent received any calls.
No customer service, and when starting to discuss legal or insurance claims, i was told it wouldnt accelerate how fast i get my stuff anyway.
Most recently the number i got from a Rick goes directly to voicemail. Jobs, kitchen effects, personal gym equipment- all gone until i get an update or replaced by insurance.Move cost: $6300Start state: PennsylvaniaEnd state: Arizona

I am very disappointed in their service. I would never use them again. My house caught on fire and they were contracted to pack up our recoverable items and store them until it was time to move back home. Upon returning the items, several items have been damaged and broken and they will not take any liability for their actions. I have sent them numerous emails and pictures, and even the crew that dropped the items off took pictures and noticed damages, but the company will not reimburse us for the items they damaged.

From my experience, the worst company to exist. Giving them 1 star is the only way to state my frustration. They apparently subcontract to duds. 2 days in a row, they have stood us up and left me with all my belongings stuck in the house and garage. The cleaning crew cannot access areas to clean and carpet cleaners cannot access their areas either. Terrible experience with this company.
We had a lot of moves with the military over the last 14 years but this one was by far the worst.
Our household goods were placed into temporary storage at their warehouse. We have lost 8 K worth of inventory. From furniture to garment boxes and mic. items. It simply disappeared.
I was reassured it must have been a missing crate which they tried to recover but all that was found were 2 Rubbermaid plastic totes.
When they delivered the totes, we discovered that they had stolen electronics out of one.
Their dispatch and warehouse department is terrible. No one feels responsible!! They promise to call you back and never do.
Avoid, avoid avoid!!!!
The way they delivered our items was highly unprofessional. Nothing was wrapped in moving blankets. Everything was just thrown on the truck. Our leather couch was slid in standing up (on the arm rest) which resulted in a lot of rips and holes. Furniture was heavily scratched and damaged as if they have dragged it instead of carrying it. I called and got a sales quote from Owen Wilson, a sales agent, and gave him an itemized list of furniture (less than a roomful) that needed to be picked up (2 couches, a table, 6 chairs, a buffet table and 4 mattresses) which was quoted as fitting within 500 cubic feet with enough extra space to fit whatever miscellaneous items needed to be packed without any additional fees. I was assured that on the day of the move, the driver would call in the morning to give an ETA and would arrive by noon. On the day of the move, I received no such call from the driver. I called the Customer Service line several times with no answer/response from the company. I threatened to cancel my move and immediately received a response at 1 in the afternoon. The driver finally called at 1:30pm and gave an ETA of 4:30pm in the evening. Once the moving truck arrived and loaded my furniture into the truck, the driver estimated an overage of 130 cubic footage and charged me an additional $1300 more than what I was initially contracted to pay. While the sales agent promised that I should receive my furniture the following day after pickup, the driver told me he wouldn’t arrive to my new home until two days later. After several hours of disputing the fees with Katie Tracy Johnson, the sole customer agent in the customer service department, she finally transferred me to Rick Carson, the District Manager. Rick assured me that he would allow the furniture to be dropped off to my new home without any issue and I would be allowed to pay the initial agreed upon amount while the new amount under dispute was being reviewed. He then called back to say “his hands were tied” and I would be forced to pay the full additional $1300 overage or they would hold my furniture hostage. After threatening to sue the company (which I still plan to do), I agree to have my company pay the extra $1300 via wire. Rick tells me he just needs the confirmation number to have my furniture released (the driver was scheduled to drop off my furniture within the next few hours). I provide Katie/Tracy (she goes by both names) the confirmation number, I call back to confirm receipt and can reach no one for several hours. The driver calls me and tells me the customer service department told him that he can’t drop off my furniture until “the Prof Move bank account has received the funds”, so he is dropping my furniture off to a warehouse “until the funds have cleared” (this is two days before Thanksgiving). No thanks to this company, they are complete scam artists and my company will not and no one I know will be using this company ever again! I got scammed out of $1300.

The are rude and will demand 100% payment before delivery. Means you can't check your inventory but make payment in advance. Also, sales guys will fake the quote and when the movers show up they will refute the quote and double your price. Handling is horrible. They hire 3rd party who rents budget/enterprise trucks to haul stuff. Best is to avoid this company.Start state: MichiganEnd state: Colorado

Not happy with their service. Talked to Alex, schedule my move 3 weeks in advance. My confirmation states that they will arrive between 9am to 11am. They did not show up until 3pm. I had to flagged them as they road up and down my street. All I received was a old man and one young man they both could not speak English. All I had was my bed two night stands and two tv's with 13 boxes. Why did my move take 5 hours to complete my move? What a rip off!!!!!! Where do I start? First, I want to extend my deepest gratitude towards my agent who took care of me in my time of need! My name is Rafael Morales and I was stuck in a can of worms. Thanks to my Agent Oliver who I was first pretty impudent with because of the situation I was in. I had secured my move with a different company after getting bombarded with phone calls throughout the entire day. Oliver called me twice once in the morning the other later in the evening. I had just got home from work when he called to ask me if I still needed assistance. I immediately yelled and told him to stop calling me with the anger I had built in from all the calls from these companies non stop. He had sent me a message apologizing for the bother and mentioned if I had a mover he can match and beat their price if they are a carrier and not a broker. That is what made me do some further research. I was traveling cross Country from Oregon to Texas for work, being how this is my first move I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. The price I was promised seemed too good to be true but I thought I was just getting a hell of a deal. I called Oliver back and had him explain to me what he meant from Carriers and Brokers. THANK GOD I called back! I was in some deep you know what! He explained the industry to me thoroughly and I had no choice but to apologize to him deeply. We went through my inventory in detail he showed me I needed more space then what my original contract stated. This is to show that when you are dealing with something as important as this, it's always best to do your due diligence in RESEARCH! Thanks again Oliver and the Prof Move employees. You made this move stress free.Move cost: $4287Start state: OregonEnd state: Texas

First off i wanted to let you know how great your team was .
Our original plan was to call U-Haul and rent a truck. We gave them all the details and once we started hearing back prices we couldn’t believe what we were hearing. From there we decided to put the information online and start receiving calls from interstate motors. To our surprise 90% of the moving companies were cheaper than if we had done ourselves .
We needed a full-service move. We need a company that would wrap furniture and pack all the boxes and get us picked up on our dates. We were very tight as far as our window for delivery but they guaranteed us that we would get delivered on that date or before. The movers were fast, efficient, and careful. Despite some incredibly hot weather, the crew stayed positive and on schedule. They were very considerate of my belongings and after my belongings were on the truck, he took a picture to show me.
My belongings arrived and I have nearly unpacked everything, and so far not one piece is broken, and no scratches on any furniture.
Which was such a relief from hearing such horror stories.
I can't thank you guys enough.Start state: FloridaEnd state: Maryland

A horrible company! When they're on the phone taking your money they are courteous, attentive, and they sound like they're really worth the investment. But after that it's all downhill. Don't let the glossy pics in the ad fool you, either. Once they had my money they kept shifting dates as to when the truck would arrive. It took them forever to get back to me to keep me updated as to what was happening. When a truck, carrier was assigned he was 8hrs late, which for the most part would not have bothered me, except he showed up at 2 am. I will never use them, again. Prof Move you guys are great. As all the other movers would call constantly and fight for our business we knew from the first time we spoke to you guys that we would probably end up reserving our move with you. Looking back I’m really happy that we did the move with you all and it went perfect. There was no holdups on picking us up in a tight time frame. Amazingly the furniture was not compromised at all and we got status updates from your girls over in your customer service department regularly. It was a good feeling to know where our furniture was at all times. We even had the drivers phone number to personally call him. Our family needed to move on a tight timeframe and prof move came through with what we needed. They were able to relocate us in a crunch, and did not overcharge for the service. I'm very pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend them to other people that need good movers. Trust me, this is my third move in my life and the best one so far. The movers knew how to make their client happy by offering all of the needed amenities and keeping in touch with us the whole time. Horrible experience. They give you a good estimate and it turns out to be double. They continues to tell me lower numbers of boxes needed and I kept telling them I needed more. They said they would pack everything and then when I had already agreed then they told me they don’t pack what’s in your drawers. I got my own boxes and packed my chest of drawers. They told me they would pick up my stuff on Sunday or Monday. They called to verify my items and told me they wouldn’t give a specific day because they didn’t want me to make plans. Then on Friday at 3:19, I received and email that I had to confirm by 6 or they would reached me. I called at 7 and the number I was given was wrong. I found another number and spoke to someone that confirmed the number was incorrect and that I had been confirmed for Monday. Then I received a call from a guy that he was my driver and would be there at 11 on Sunday and not the confirmed Monday. He was 20 minutes late. For a 2 bedroom home, it took them 11 hours. The price presented was double the estimate. The people who move you are subleased by Prof Move. When I called Prof Move, no one answered. Oh and there’s a big deal that you have to pay in cash when you receive your items. I requested to see the movers driver’s license. It’s an expired work VISA. They said my stuff would be delivered on Tues or Wed and now they are saying Thursday. I pray I get my stuff! I’m worried with all the lies!Move cost: $10980Start state: IndianaEnd state: Texas

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, please!!!!
Not a mover- only a sales office and switchboard to connect you to the companies who will be actually moving your things.
Horrible pass-around service that is "24 hours" although really it's just a cell phone router to the unlucky customer service rep who will answer the phone anytime-- but can't do anything for you.
The companies they contract with are not professional or timely. The first company CANCELLED an hour before pickup causing the entire moving process to be pushed back a day (who does that???!!).
The second company can't even give me a time frame for the delivery of my things so I'm currently calling them every day hoping to get an update but all I've had so far is that there are 3 trucks ahead of me. No clue what that means.
Don't work with this company. They are not located where you are, and don't hire movers and companies which are convenient for you- only for them.
The low price they wave under your nose is not worth the disconnect and headache you have to deal with!Move cost: $4300Start state: OregonEnd state: Iowa

I will never use this company again! We booked a move and everything was wrong. I should have known from the beginning - red flags everywhere. They said they would have a truck and crew to pack up all our stuff earlier than expected. They called saying they would be there within a half hour. Two hours later one guy shows up with a truck. He started looking at all our stuff and immediately was talking about extra fees and charges for certain items when I already had agreed to a price. No one else came. If you look this company up on Google maps, there is a reason you will not see any moving trucks at their address. Once you contract with this company and you're past your cancellation date, they will hand you off to a logistics company that will come and pack up your stuff .The logistics company will then sell your "move" to an independent driver that takes your stuff to your new home. You might get lucky, but your stuff is packed, loaded, then unloaded at the logistics center, sits waiting for a driver, then is loaded again. We had several damaged and missing items and found little accountability from anyone. We submitted a claim for several thousand dollars and received a $95 check. We will NEVER use these crooks again and suggest you do the same. Stick with a company that does the whole job (sales, pack up, drive & unload). It might cost a bit more but well worth it.Move cost: $4800Start state: ArkansasEnd state: Montana

Terrible. Moved irreplaceable furniture, broke numerous custom made pieces, destroyed my treadmill, and since I only realized one piece was broken in move they basically said they’d give me less than $10 for it since it was light weight. Most of my things went into storage and now as I’m finally able to open everything it’s too late to do anything aside from warn others not to use them. If you do, watch them while they wrap your things. Glass was broken, wood cracked all because they wrapped things so fast and too tightly. Do not use. Prof Move is Main Move. They are a broker and not a moving company with company owned trucks and crews as advertised. I was the victim of bait and switch, false promises and valuable electronics have gone missing.
At end of July I reserved a move with Prof Move for ~1,400 cf. I submitted a revised packing list about a week before the move and they did not call me until 1 hour before the movers were supposed to come. At that time they 'estimated' that the new size of my move would be 2,200 cf. I had only added a couch and a couple of chairs. I protested saying that it seemed a little high, but Rick pressured me into signing the estimate with the promise that it would be reduced to the 'actual' once my stuff was on the truck. The moving crew arrived wearing 'Main Moving' shirts about 7 hours late. I was assured that they would be able to move my house in one day, but it stretched into the next day. Once it came time to sign the final invoice, new fees were also added that were not previously discussed. My original estimate was $6,500 and the final estimate ballooned to $12,500 and was assured by Rick that he would investigate and get the costs down. We had to be out of our place and in Texas for a new job so did not have the ability to postpone the move and go with a different carrier.
The one good thing they did was get our stuff to Texas quickly. It arrived in 5 days. However when our stuff arrived we realized that 6 in-box Sonos Play 1 speakers were missing. I have reported the missing items to Prof Move and they have been unresponsive.
Finally, I did some research and realized that they grossly overstated the size of my move. My entire move fit on a 26' Ryder Box truck. According to the Ryder website the capacity of that truck is 1,600 cf. Why then was I charged for 2,200 cf.? 600 cf at their stated rate of $4.25 is about $2,400. There were a few red flags along they way so shame on me for moving forward with Prof Move, but they had an excuse and explanation each time I voiced a concern so this clearly wasn't the first time they played this game.
Don't get scammed by these guys like I did. Find a different mover.Move cost: $12500Start state: CaliforniaEnd state: Texas

I called what I thought was the direct line to my sales agent. Apparently I was wrong. When the gentleman answered the phone he said I was calling Pro Move or Prof Move, he didn't speak clear but I know by the sound of his tone he was a little shaken up when I asked If I was calling Main Moving. He then said, “ YES, THIS IS MAIN MOVING.” When asked who Prof Move was he said he didn’t know, if that’s the case why are you answering the phone introducing yourself as Prof Move. After ending the call with the agent I went through my emails and low and behold I had an email from Prof Move which I received at almost the exact same time as the one from Main Moving. I also received text messages from both companies. The phone numbers that the calls were coming from were nearly identical.
As if moving isn’t hard enough, I have to worry about being scammed. In my attempt to get a few quotes to see if the price was similar amongst the companies, how am I to know what’s real when 2 of the three companies I spoke with are actually the same company disguising themselves with different names!!!?? This is for one unethical and two, illegal! I spoke with a third company who of course called me, the gentleman was very nice and polite. After giving him the amount of cubic feet Main Moving had given me, he gave me a price that was much higher than Main Moving. Before I could ask him questions about his company, he began to push me to go with Main Moving. He basically told me that I would be a fool to not call them now and reserve with them. He didn’t make any attempts to ask for my business he kept telling me that Main Moving was a good company and they must have a route available and I should hurry up and call them to reserve before I miss out on their offer. I have come to the conclusion that all 3 companies that i spoke with were THE SAME COMPANY!!!
Buyer beware, after further review and reading reviews on these two companies (the third company doesn’t exist btw) it would appear that they have the same customer service agent taking calls. The descriptions that I read from customer reviews illustrate the same rude, disrespectful woman. I also found it funny that the reviews for each company both mention a man named Barry coincidence? This company is sloppy and If I was able to catch that this was a scam, I’m sure others have as well. If you are considering either of these companies Main Moving or Prof Move, you are in for a rude awakening. My suggestion would be to do as I did and run, run as fast as you can. I decided to rent a Pods, 4 of them. This is the worst part, the amount of space that they said I needed was nowhere near the amount of space that my move required. I can’t imagine the thousands of dollars they would have charged me if I did chose them. I could go on and on.

These movers are the best. They are very hard working, fast, prompt, helpful, courteous and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend them with any more enthusiasm. We recently hired Prof Move and had a great experience. The crew was respectful and professional. They disassembled all the furniture carefully and wrapped every possible thing that could be broken. While moving, they made sure that there was no damage to the floors and walls or fixtures, every box was kept at the required place and reassembled all the furniture. They were done within the estimated time. hey surely made the stressful moving an easy job!! Would definitely recommend them!!Move cost: $3800Start state: ConnecticutEnd state: Georgia

Warning: Don’t use this company. Save yourself the pain. They will give you a low quote to sell the service. Then, they will charge you much more when the truck is half loaded up. They will set up a moving date and won’t be there to pick it up. They will set a delivery date and won’t deliver it as expected. Costumer service is disrespectful. It is a tremendous hassle. Consider yourself warned: this company is so bad it should be taken out of business.Move cost: $2900Start state: IllinoisEnd state: Maryland

Great experience with Prof Move reasonable and very professional! Jacob was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to emails and phone calls. Had a midday move, but first crew called to see if they could start an hour early, so huge bonus since we were under such a tight schedule! Movers were all very hard working and efficient. Second crew was even better than the first - they were all great, careful and professional. Would use them again and highly recommend to others. Thank you,Move cost: $3600Start state: OregonEnd state: Arizona

I just moved this weekend and have to say these guys are great! They were professional, good matured, efficient and quick. I called Thomas the day after the move because I couldn't find my nebulizer in the bunch of open boxes after they left. Thomas called back after talking to his guys and it was right where they said it was. I was totally looking in the wrong place. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks Guys! My goodness, what a company. I used them twice. First to move our stuff to the storage, then to move into the new house. In both times they were quick. If I remember their names correctly, they were three guys, Mark, Jake, and Larry. They are not only friendly, but professional. They even disassembled and reassembled my stuff. They took every consideration of my delicate TV (wrapped it in a blanket), my wooden floors (so that it does not scratch or damage) and even my mattress is wrapped so that it doesn’t come with any storage bugs. I recommend them 100%.Move cost: $3800Start state: ConnecticutEnd state: Pennsylvania

So we contacted Prof Move kind of last minute (shocker, I am always the procrastinator) and they still showed up on time worked harder than most men I've ever seen work and never stopped even when I said they could take a breather. They only stopped for a water break, which is unbelievable that they could work for 4 hours with just a quick sip here and there. They did a great job and I'll be forever thankful I would recommend them to anybody.Move cost: $3700Start state: CaliforniaEnd state: Texas
