If you want all of your personal belongings poorly handles, broken, or destroyed, feel free to use this company. My husband booked this company because we ended up needing to move faster than the military could get us packed and out as my husband was separating and starting a new job. He booked this company due to their high ratings and insistence that they could give us the same quality as a full military move. The headache started from day one - they were scheduled to arrive on a Monday for a full-service move, delayed until Tuesday. The crew shows up on Tuesday completely unaware that it was a full-service move. I wasn't able to supervise the packing, and they clearly put minimal effort into it. Not a single box was labeled, not even generally. Some of our things were packed in garbage bags. Literal garbage bags. They punched two holes in the wall of our house while moving furniture out. They finished packing and loading, then expected us to pay literally thousands more because our deposit apparently wasn't enough. Dramatically (I would say criminally) underquoted us. When we attempted to call and figure out why this happened, the only answer was they couldn't do anything until the subcontractor submitted paperwork. Apparently, we live in the dark ages and there aren't a bunch of different ways to contact other people, especially when it comes to a legitimate concern. Finally, our items are delivered, and they refuse to unload until they get the final payment - fine. But then they open the trunk and I'm not kidding when I say that literally every box is damaged. Plastic totes are smashed in (they were brand new and purchases specifically for the move). We moved two longboard surfboards - both were damaged. One was in mint condition and now sports a 4 foot scratch in the epoxy and two clear dents. The movers literally broke a desk in front of us due to nothing other than complete carelessness.

DO NOT USE. FRAUDULENT. ATTEMPTED to EXTORT MONEY. NEVER DELIVERED TRUCK LOAD OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS. POLICE CONTACTED. LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THIS MOVING COMPANY & ALPINE VAN LINES

Worst change service. They deceived us about the amount charged. They sent another company to pick up my furniture, and to my surprise they said the size I had bought wasn't enough to take everything. It was a disappointment. I was even charged for the steps and in the connection with the cardinal, I was not informed of this charge. I will never request this company again.

Do NOT use Cardinal Van Lines for your move!!! Their salespeople and customer service people lie to you about fees and time to get your items. When I set up my move with "Jason," I shared with him that I was moving from the 3rd floor with no elevator access. He assured me i would have no additional fee for this. If I was going to have an additional fee, I would have like to know upfront. After the pickup crew made it to my apartment, they were not in uniform shirts like "Jason" told me, and they required over $300 extra for the stairs to move a 1 BR. I called customer service and spoke to a woman I had spoken to several times. She acted like she didn't remember saying I would have no extra fees for the stairs. When I told her I had recorded "Jason" saying those things, she said they would no longer speak to me over the phone; although, they have my things. "Jason" and the one customer service person said repeatedly I would get my items in 1-5 business days, but the driver that comes to pick up my items would know for sure. The driver told me I would get my items on the 23rd. It is now the 28th. I believe they are intentionally holding my items because I recorded the conversation between the salesperson and myself. This is wrong.
