Absolutely Awful!!! LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS ENTIRE OPERATION IS A BIG SCAM. ANY POSITIVE REVIEW HERE MUST BE PAID!!! I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception here. If there was an option for negative stars, that's what this joke of a company would deserve. Where do I even begin. Moving from New Jersey to North Carolina and we were given an initial quote of $1600. Upon arrival of the movers, this figure doubled to over $3000. Apparently David Matta the moving coordinator we spoke to significantly miscalculated the cubic footage we'd need in order to lock is into a lower price and secure our business. With the arrival of the movers and time constraints, it was basically an ambush. You could either pay the inflated costs or start looking for a different mover at the last minute. We didn't have much of an option. After deciding to bite the bullet and move forward, the truck arrived a few days later. In the original contract and which was reiterated verbally numerous times, this was a door to door service. The movers in NC were now demanding an additional $350 to move the stuff into the apartment. We obviously refused since the abuse had become overwhelming. They left our stiff in the hallway. Never in my life have I felt so violated and disrespected by a company. On every possible level they disappointed.
We hired United Pro Van Lines to move our family last month from Michigan to Florida. I worked with David Matta who was my original rep took absolute care of my family and I and really got to know us and make sure we were in a good spot in a really stressful situation. Only thing I wished was there was little bit less of a turnaround time. Other than that these guys rock!!
Was in a sticky situation and united pro showed up and bailed me out was not the cheapest but showed up and did what they said they would
Just wanted to write a quick write up of my experience with United Pro Van Lines. My wife recently received a promotion and transfer to the DC metro area and began our search for a moving company. We reached out to United Pro and they were our first stop. Luckily we got all of our questions answered and importantly- nerves settled. Moving with 2 young kids isnt the most fun wither but the team was able to get everything taken care of with ease and allowed is as much space as needed. Michelle was our original specialist on the phone and the detail she took showed through during the actual move. Move in to our new home in Maryland was a breeze, in and out within the morning before lunch. 100% would recommend and use again!
