I contracted Bridgeview van lines to move my stuff from KY to NY and was picked up on 6/16/23 and as of 8/4/23 it is still not delivered. My first available delivery date was 6/25/23 and they have 30 days to deliver. Tomorrow is the 30th day and as of today they said it is not in transit. My stuff is still sitting in a storage in KY. I asked if I could just go pick it up myself and they said yes but i still have to pay the delivery fee. that is insane. Why would i pay for something that didn't happen. I would understand paying for the labor to pick it up and store it (free 30 days) but not delivery, it wasn't delivered. I have called almost every day for 3 weeks and have gotten the run around. Sometimes they say its in transit, others say its in the warehouse. I just want my stuff to be delivered asap unbroken without any extra charges. We were told the delivery amount was $1200 and there would be no extra fees. They told us that they would give us $30 a day off of that amount. I don't care about the money, i want an ETA and i want my stuff. They keep saying they will call back but they never do. I asked for a location of my stuff and they refused to give me a location. I just want my things. We had a 26 ft truck worth of things and have given this company almost $7000 so far.
This is the worst company I have had the displeasure to work with . You get your quote via a phone call you review all items to be moved , two days before the move you get a quality assurance call . Surprise the quote just went up , ok . The movers show up look at what has to be moved and tell you the job was under quoted the price goes up another 7000+ . I was stuck did not have time to call another company . As far as packing my 3 year old grand children could have done better . They just through stuff in boxes and taped them shut . there was many items broken or damaged . Do your self a favor and avoid this company at all cost
The best aspect of this firm is that the proprietor is always available to address any difficulties. They are excellent at accommodating customers and showing understanding. I endorse this location.
