Moved my 3 bedroom house from Ontario, CA to Seattle WA for about 4500. Movers were good, Scott was very pleasant through out the process. When my shipment was in route I spoke to a lady named Dorris who was helpful in tracking my shipment. Wont ever be moving again but if I did I would give them another go.
Overall I had a wonderful experience with all the employees of Xtreme Movers. I first spoke to Marsha who was extremely detailed and very empathetic to our unique circumstances. After being contacted by what felt like 100 different movers I chose Xtreme because I felt they went the extra mile and were priced right in the middle. Everything that was promised was delivered on and I felt comfortable enough with them to take advantage of the free/discounted storage they offer. After being stored for 3 months and finally selecting a house I just received my shipment yesterday, Expecting some minor damages after all that time and all of those miles my wife and I were very surprised to see everything in the same condition it left in! I came home from work Friday to a fully furnished house, everything set up and a happy wife. If the wife happy I am happy, thank you Marsha and Xtreme for a great service!
*** Be very wary of this company and it's unscrupulous business practices *** We hired Xtreme Movers to move us from NJ to NC on 09.30.2020. Their scheduling is absolutely horrendous. We were set for an 8:00 am pick up on the 30th, but they did not arrive till 6:00 pm. We had to plead with our building management to allow us to move after hours. We had scheduled 10.16.2020 as our delivery date in Charlotte. We were called the morning of 10.09.2020 that the movers were coming that night at 5:00 pm. We had to plead with our new building to allow us to move in after hours. All deliveries by Xtreme Movers are done by subcontractors. Upon their arrival, they asked for $450 more than the quoted price in cash. We did not want our things held hostage and so we acquiesced. We questioned Xtreme Movers the next day and were told we would not be receiving that money back. We in turn filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of NJ and the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs. We have also filed a formal complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This company practices very unscrupulous business practices, has very rude employees and underbids in order to surprise the customer.
Please be aware that this company practices unscrupulous business practices. We had difficulty scheduling a delivery and were notified 24 hours in advance. Instead we got a call the morning of delivery and we had to scramble to get our building to be able to accept the delivery. Additionally, we were shaken down by the delivery team, which are just subcontractors, for $450 more dollars. We tried to get this back, but the company would not return the proceeds. We filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau of NJ. (Be aware that this company is not accredited, btw.) The issue remains unresolved and we have filed with the NJ division of consumer affairs, as well. We also have placed holds and stops on our original payment. Be very aware of this.
XTREME MOVERS ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!! The salesman who went by the name of a Chris and Sam, the manager/owner/customer service who went by Doris and Tina. Yes DorIS use different names according to the position she was claiming. Doris really thought I wouldn’t know her same rude, viscous voice was going to be recognized when she said her name was Tina. When I called her out on it she said “F*** you” to me and hung up. Anyways that’s not even the beginning. The salesman lied to me about everything from owning their own trucks (all they picked me up and delivered me was rental trucks and a completely different company on delivery day), to them up charging me an extra $5,000 more on pick up day. I was originally contracted for 1000 cubic feet for my small 2 bedroom with barely any furniture. When the movers arrived they doubled my cubic feet to 2000.... I did not add anything extra from my original list and I asked them to measure the truck. They refused too and barely spoke English. They all spoke Arabic and the communication barrier was the worst. That’s when I called and got Doris and she was the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life. She said she’s lucky my company didn’t triple your cost. I couldn’t believe what she told me! I called a few days later and “Tina” answered but it was Doris!! These people are nothing but scam artist!!!! Ugh I’m so frustrated thinking about my experience. The movers on delivery day (completely different company, crew, and truck) demanded more money on delivery day and refused to unload until I paid them an extra $1000. I paid them because I needed my stuff but when they were delivering, they didn’t deliver my tv’s or sofa!!! They said Xtreme Movers never gave them tv’s or a sofa so it’s either lost or stole . So they held my belongings hostage, doubled my cost on pick up day, and stole my most expensive belongings. XTREME MOVERS ARE SCAM ARTIST!!!!!
