Horrible! These movers told us they would come a certain day and then pushed it back 3 days. Unacceptable! I needed a queen size bed upstairs and they were so lazy they said it didn’t fit. I took the railings off the walls and told them it needed to be up there and they huffed and puffed. I needed help getting the last screw off the railing and asked one of the guys for help and he replied “yes but we can’t put it back on”. Not to mention, they broke a mirror, a desk and over the toilet shelf and then said “that’s not us” you have to go through a third party. Also, they wore shoes on our brand new carpet, no shoe covers nothing! I do not recommend they overcharge and then didn’t even care!! Our townhouse was 1400 square feet.. I don’t even want to know what it’s like for someone hiring them with a bigger house. Also, they said they can’t take credit card, vendmo or cash app only??? Disappointed and will not be using this moving company again!!!

DO NOT use them, they are the worst. They pushed out our pickup date on our actual pick up date!!! Then disputed when I tried to get my deposit back on my credit card because they said I did not provide proper notice but they breached the contract by not showing up so we had to scramble to move ourselves. They are scammers, do not trust your belongings with them.

SCAM - DO NOT USE. They must pay people or fake all of these good reviews. Just like everyone here is saying, its a broker. They will quote you whatever it takes to get your deposit...then sell your contract to a different company. Then the movers will show up (late) and charge you triple whatever VVL quotes. RUN AWAY!!

Vintage Van Lines is obviously a complete scam. Basically, I had a month to move for a new job opportunity and my original plan set with PODs fell through last minute based on logistics with my apartment complex--so I was scrambling looking for a new mover last minute. Somehow or another, VVL got ahold of my number and I spoke with a guy named "Ray". I am not even convinced that was really his name because in the months I dealt with VVL, I NEVER spoke with the same person twice and apparently other people have caught certain guys lying about who they are. I'm not sure how it works, but I think they are somehow set up with a call center of some sort. That being said, "Ray" came off very personable, nice, upbeat and fed me all the lies about how they are an actual "moving company", and it's his company that he owns and they like to keep their vans "constantly moving" to ensure fast delivery dates and so on. I do take ownership over the fact that I fell for these lies and made a decision so last minute without doing the proper research. I just hope I can guide others to not make the same mistake. So long story short(ish), I eventually learned that VVL is NOT a moving company, they are a broker. I did not realize this until the day of pick up-- a different mover called Pioneer Moving and Storage came to pick up all of my things. I was very caught off guard and confused, I asked the main guy over Pioneer why the paperwork was through a different company than I originally signed off with. This was when I learned about VVL being a broker and they contracted Pioneer to move me. Like everyone else, I was charged way more than what was originally quoted by VVL and I later learned that is because VVL just wanted to get my business and my money so they fed me all the lies I wanted to hear. VVL lied to me about so many things. However, the thing that frustrates me the most, is that as a broker and someone that was paid to set up all of my moving details, the moving company they hired was AWFUL. I mean- awful reviews, not a legit company, had hits against the Better Business Bureau and I even found a news report on other people who had been scammed by this mover-- he was actually reported on a local news station! I was just so sickened about how they could actually get away with this. To wrap things up, basically it took Pioneer two months to deliver my things- even though VVL originally quoted me two weeks. I could not get through to the mover to get updates on my things- he was completely unreachable. I called VVL multiple times a week, I spoke with a different person every time, they never had an answer for me, they all said they would call me back-- but never did, of course. I even caught them lying about my things being loaded one weekend, to find out that was a lie and never even happened. So for two months, I had no idea where my furniture and belongings were and if I was even ever going to get them back. We sent several threatening emails through our law-firm with no responses. That did not surprise me though because I'm sure they are used to lawyers reaching out and threatening them on a regular basis. Also, their contract is so sketchy, and in the moment of signing, I had no idea how crazy the clauses were in the contract. But now that I have gone through this whole process, I see how gross it is and how they are really trying to cover themselves and get away with being so skeevy and scamming people. In the end, I was lucky and did finally receive my things. However, I have since spoken to some others who have gone through Vintage Van Lines that have not been so lucky. My experience was so awful and I just hope that my review can help deter at least one other from falling for this scam.. My advice----just spend the extra money and go through a big name moving company. You will end up spending the same amount with a lot less headache and heartbreak. Unfortunately, there are so many other companies in this industry that are just the same. It is a shame but it is such a corrupt industry. Also, if you have been a victim of VVL or any company similar, just know that you are not the only one and it's not your fault. I was so angry with myself but have since learned that I am not alone and it has been a learning experience. I now just want to share my story to help inform others
