Moving dates are a "window" covering two days, this was not made explicitly clear while arranging the move, although it is in writing. When asked to provide the moving date needed, they did not say it was a range. I made it clear that I closed on the 9th and needed to be out by the 8th, no mention of the window and setting those dates or suggesting that if I needed to be out by the 9th to make the window the 7th and 8th, they just picked the window of the 8-9 based on me saying I needed to move on the 8th. They were supposed to contact me 24-48 hours prior to my scheduled date of the 8th and failed to do so, I called them the day of and asked for an update on the ETA at 9 am, to which I was told they would provide an update between 1:30-3:00 PM. Again, they never called to provide the time. I called again at 4:30 PM when no one contacted me, just to be told that they would arrive on the 9th around 2 PM. The communication is terrible and they will try to coerce you into signing the estimate to get an "instant booking discount". You have no time to actually review what you are signing as they make you do it while on the phone with them. Having a window isn't the biggest of deals if it's clearly communicated and had they followed through with the call 24-48 hours prior to provide the ETA. But as is, they have been a huge waste of time and not followed through on anything they have said, yet refuse to issue refund. Additionally, they "missed" items on the inventory estimate on two different occasions. Customer service is rude and refuse to apologize for any errors, missed communication, or otherwise not meeting expectations and rather just said "I am very good at my job". I suppose if you have the time and a very flexible schedule, they may not be the worst choice due to competitive pricing, but they certainly do not live up to the statements on their website claiming reliability, reputation, and professionalism. I highly recommend you contact another company and don't do business with them.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Save yourself the time and the money. Never hired movers before and ended up talking with this company. They gave me an estimate of my inventory and move (less than 500 mi), ended up being a little less that 1700 dollars. However, the pick up day came and they sent the worst moving company in the city of New Orleans to get my belongings. The staff was unprofessional and even stated it would be an up charge before he even seen all my belongings. They uncharged me so much I couldn’t do anything but cry. Literally had to fill US Moving 3 times while these movers were in my house. Fast forward a week later a different set of contractors show up and I receive my belongings and my kitchen dishwater and glasses are broken. I paid almost 3k for this move and I feel like I’ve been swindled. Don’t waste your money.

Where to begin... everything i have to say is similar to 99% of the other reviews of this company. Starting out, you deal with Darren Palmer, who works to create trust and comfortability with their company, then immediately drops you and never responds once you've put down a deposit. The initial quote that they provide is MUCH less than you'll be asked for on the pickup date. Go through and measure out your items square footage, because they will undercut it on the estimate. On pickup date, you'll have someone show up and tell you your price is almost tripled because the square footage is more than the estimate. I paid a "Binding Estimate Fee" of $1400, which turns out only is binding to the rate per cubic foot. Anyway, they took my estimate from $2600 to an actual cost of $6300 on pickup. Now delivery... they called me two days before proposed delivery and said that they would deliver at 6pm. They also asked if an 18 wheeler would fit at the delivery address, as there is an added fee to transfer everything to a shuttle truck. I confirmed that there is plenty of room for an 18 wheeler. They showed up at 11:15pm in a shuttle truck. It was just my mother and I, so we did not feel safe with strangers arriving at almost midnight at our house. They immediately told us they wanted to charge an extra $500 for the shuttle truck. I told them I refused to pay it because I told them an 18 wheeler would fit at our property, and i had not requested a shuttle. They threatened to not unload the goods. I spoke with their boss on the phone and was able to mitigate this. When they opened up the truck door finally, it was an absolute mess. My mattress was bent in half over itself, and three plastic totes of my childhood goods, kitchenware, and desk supplies had fallen and broken open. Broken items were strewn all over the floor of the truck. In addition to this, I saw that they had another individual's items in the truck that they were going to deliver that evening. Essentially, they put both of our stuff on the shuttle, then tried charging us both for this, stating that the other person requested it when we argued it. Once they cleaned everything up, they finally started moving items. It was two individuals in flip flops, tripping over their shoes and dropping items in the process. It got to the point where I was just relieved to have the entire process over with. Such. A. Nightmare.

DO NOT USE!!! After booking, your deposit is forfeited after 72 hours from booking. Right after the 72 hours of booking, credit card was hacked and used to buy 165 in tacos, 364 the next day following a 250 charge. My credit card blocked the 364 and 250 and inactivated immediately because the person(s) went wild on the credit card. The card was used and manually entered into system. I do not use this credit card hardly but they do not accept AMEX so had to use a VISA. Bank is working on getting my deposit back. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DO NOT USE! I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS COMPANY BEFORE BOOKING. THE LOW RATES ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BECAUSE THEY ARE A SCAM.

U.S. Moving and Storage, LLC and COBRA Vanlines, LLC operate within the law – right ON THE EDGE. I’m a new student and tried to find the most economical and highest rated company I could…lesson learned. I will never contract with a non-point-to-point mover again. Their paperwork gave an “approximate” move date of 10 days. It was almost a month! They never gave me a date of delivery till the day before, and more than once they – for what ever reason on their end – called to tell me to tell me that I would receive my items and then they never delovered. This move was an unmitigated disaster and because of them my relationships, family, new school, and friends suffered too. They took my dream of beginning in higher education and ruined it. NEVER, NEVER,NEVER, use them!
