I talked with Mr. Vinny D (Senior Sales Manager, [email protected], Unistar Van Lines, Phone 877 647 5800 Ext. 1005, https://unistarvanlines.com) on October 26, 2020 for my household items moving from Chesapeake, VA to Catonsville, MD. I talked with him over the phone for 2 hours and signed an agreement for the moving service. Vinny told me that their service is volume (per cubic feet) oriented, so whatever space my items will occupy in the truck I have to pay accordingly ($3/cubic-ft). According to the agreement, I paid $423.0 on the same day to confirm the moving. But the truck didn't show up on the scheduled day. Yes, they didn't show up at all. I called them whole day long and they kept lying that the truck was on my way. At the end of the day an unknown caller called and told me that the truck was broken and now they are in a repair shop somewhere near Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Which is about 140 miles from my place but they aren’t sure when their truck will be okay to drive. That person cut the phone call saying that he will call me back. After two hours of waiting at around 5:15PM I tried to call him back but I couldn’t reach him, no one receive my call. Finally, I moved out from that place on 6th November evening with the help from a local moving company, Till that time there was no sign for the truck from Vinny or no phone call as well. After my moving I asked this company to refund my money but they denied and once again lying that I canceled the trip. They caused a huge amount of trouble for me during a pandemic. I had to pay a lot of amount for the move as I had no time at all. So, be careful before you sign any deal with them!
