The Careful Brothers Moving Company

I hired this moving company after another company referred me due to their lack of availability. I, like the previous review, was given an estimated time and a high ball on the estimated price which was $750-850. Three men one truck, they also came smelling like weed. The estimate was for three and a half hours which included the hour travel time and then when I was mailed the estimate it said I would also be charged $40 for gas. They could not get furniture out the front door after being advised it didn't come in that way although I couldn't believe it wouldn't fit out the front door, after being unsuccessful they brought it out the way it was moved into the residence. long story short it took them 2 hours extra to move one bedroom apartment. Damaged a railing while trying to get furniture out the front door, I am still unpacking but I have broken dishes. so 5 and 1/2 hours to move a one bedroom from a second floor to a first floor. I do not feel I should be charged for the excessive time it took for them to move a sofa or take a bed apart. Then I was supposed to sign that I was basically being charged almost double, not including the $100 deposit that I had already paid. I refused to acknowledge and make the payment. Chris the owner called me said he would refund me $200 and upon checking my credit card I was charged a higher price than what they showed me at the end of the job. I don't know none of this is very professional to me. I have since left two voicemails with no response, and now starting a paper trail with an email on top of disputing the charge to my credit card which I did not authorize which apparently was $1,531 for a 5 and 1/2 hour move that should not have taken 5 and 1/2 hours and that charge does not include as again $100 deposit. Absolutely horrible experience. Disputing charges with card company. Who calls a customer a scumbag and wonders why they get a negative review!!
