Safe Ship did a phone estimate of my inventory. Movers (not actual safe ship workers, but a company contracted by safe shop to do the job) showed up on moving day and tried to tell me that my cubic footage was double then what was given over the phone. I expected a small change as I am aware that uneven items and things like moving blankets take up space. But not double. Additionally, I removed 2 large items from the move that were on the initial estimate. The mover tried to say my stuff was 1300 cubic feet. And the original estimate was 600. I ended up telling the movers to leave and I went with another company. Actual cubic footage with the new company was 700 cubic feet. So safe ship essentially price matched to win the business, took a "non refundable" deposit from me, and then contracted a company who tried to double the square footage to make their money back.

In new york, there are many lousy moving businesses. and then there is safe ship moving. As I have discovered, hiring mediocre movers will almost likely result in bad service- your belongings may be damaged, lost or even stolen. I just had a good experience with Safe Ship, I was hesitant because of the cost but it was well worth it. I already purchased the materials needed to pack my stuff up but I have been so tired from work, every night when I come home I just stare at the boxes while im playing fortnite. So I decided to look for a long distance moving company to transport my stuff. It was more difficult than I thought, I called a few local moving companies and none could service me. So I did a search on Bing and found Safe Ship moving service. I paid their booking fee and they found a moving company that coordinated my move for me. The company gave me a delivery window of 2-12 days and I received my stuff in 6 days for an east to west coast move.

I'm sick of the cold so Im leaving the north for good. I've been living in Billings my entire life and its time for a scenery change. I am really sick of it because I contracted the flu again. I called the number on their website and spoke to one of their reps. The rep explained to me all they have to offer and that the company even offers free 30 day storage. After I finished the booking process with Safe Ship, I booked my flight to Arizona. I havent found a place to rent yet. I am feeling better so I decided treat myself until I find a place to live so I rented a hotel room in downtown Tucson that I will be staying until I found a new home. I had the moving company { don't remember their name} place my belongings in a storage facility. I inspected all of my furniture and precious items. One dresser was chipped, but that was the only damage any of the 8 furniture items incurred. Considering how I moved 700 miles away, I still say they did an amazing job moving my stuff. kudos to them.

My experience was great. The guys came on time, wrapped up everything with care. They were courteous and professional and quick. Everything was delivered on time and without any damages.
