We used Prodigy Moving and Storage. We had a four bedroom home. Lots of things because we had lived there for so many years. Boxing everything took forever and with our lack of packing knowledge, we expected to have a lot of broken items. We were very surprised to find that most of our things were in perfect shape. All of the furniture was unscathed. Some of the boxes that we packed carelessly were a little crushed, but it was our fault. We were pleased with them.
Horrifying move, I wish I could post pictures so you could see how my boxes were packed and arrived. This company destroyed my items and stole valuables. My boxes arrived opened with holes in them. We paid for their packing service, they didn't pack anything they just threw items in large wardrobe boxes. My picture frames and delicate pottery pieces were thrown to the bottom of boxes with heavy items on top, no bubble wrap, they all broke. My clothes were thrown to the bottom of large wardrobe boxes with a computer tower sitting on top of them. When they took apart our furniture they stripped the tops of all the screws so the people delivering the items could not put my furniture together. These people are thieves they increased the price by $2000 when they arrived to pick up our stuff. After all this happened and I did some research I learned that this company keeps changing their name so it is similar to other companies that have great reviews. I have had to file a police report and contact a lawyer.
We just moved to Fl after being up north our whole lives. We had lots of fragile things acquired from our years of collecting random things. Prodigy Moving and Storage's crew were very careful and responsible with our things. Service was very friendly and the pricing was on par with everyone else's. On time, and professional. We definitely would recommend them to anyone in need of a mover.
I moved nearly 8 times and have never dealt with a more unprofessional company as Prodigy. My first quote was $1300 then two days later upped it to $1700 due to tariffs. Then upped it to $1900 due to more items added to list. OK I can deal with that. Then the evening before packing up my things, they called and upped what we owed to $3900. By this time the next day I have to be out of my place because it was sold. So we had no choice but to agree to it. When the movers arrived they decided I had way more Cubic Feet than anticipated Bill is now $5900 plus. Again I have to be out. Was told things would be delivered in a couple of days, over two weeks and I still do not have my things. TOday they came to drop off my things. I had a check waiting for them, they would not accept for the balance. So they drove away. Now have my things in storage across the state. AND THEY WANT $500 for storage. DO NOT USE PRODIGY. I AM FINDING OUT THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IS INVOLVED IN THIS COMPANY CHARGING THEM WITH FRAUD!
