US DOT 3551489 MC: 1189550 Contacted Marathon Movers on 10/8/2021 for an estimate for a move on 11/20/2021. Spent over an hour on the phone with Eric Rosen (866) 207-0404 x 1701 detailing room by room my inventory. Reviewed estimate over the phone and he detailed every piece of inventory I provided. Received estimate, I verified the total matched the total Eric provided verbally and it did. On 11/11/2021 received call from Customer Service to review inventory and I explained that Eric and I had done a complete inventory and nothing had changed. Customer Service quickly reviewed the inventory list and I noticed that he did not include 100 moving boxes. Customer Service indicated she wasn't sure if they were included or not and she would have Eric call me. I immediately called Eric's direct line and left a voicemail. I did not receive a call back from Eric on Thursday or Friday (11/12/2021). I called again on Friday and was told Eric would call me by the end of the day; he did not. I called Customer Service on Saturday 11/13/2021 and was told Eric was off and she would leave another message. I called today (11/15/2021) and left a voicemail for Eric. I also called Customer Service and spoke with Mark who yelled incessantly and wouldn't let me speak. I asked him if all of their calls are recorded and Mark replied "yes". I stated that although it was against the law to record a call without notifying me as both Florida and Pennsylvania Two-Party Consent states and he was breaking the law on our current call because he did not inform me he was recording, I also indicated that it was fantastic news because it would be very clear that I provided a completely accurate inventory with Eric on my call 10/8/2021 as their own terms and conditions indicate that "This estimate is based on the information that was provided by the customer at the time of booking." Mark quickly rescinded his original answer that calls were recorded and now states "they're not recorded". I told Mark that I felt I was intentionally misled and I did not want them to continue as my moving company. Mark spoke over me the entire time telling me "you're not getting your deposit back" and that he would "pass you on to customer service". I replied that wasn't necessary. I would follow the Terms and Conditions instructions and email [email protected] to confirm my cancellation. I have documentation of the dozens of calls I made to Marathon Movers over the last month attempting to rectify the situation and no one would return my call. When I called Customer Service today they answered the phone "Hi Lisa" so it is apparent they were aware that I was the caller and chose not to take my call previously. I was also informed today that per their Terms & Conditions I was past the seven business day window to cancel. I informed Eric that I wouldn't have been past that window if my calls were returned. He continued to yell at me and I informed him that our call was ending and hung up the phone. INVENTORY INTENTIONALLY LEFT OFF OF ESTIMATE TO MAKE IT APPEAR YOU ARE GETTING A LOWER BID.

Horrible! I have tried over a week, then literally 3 days in a row to contact ID Noble Movers whom this company gave to us for our move from NC to TX. First, in Charlotte they send ONE guy and a very little lady to move very heavy furniture and boxes from a two story home. It was ridiculous, it took this company almost 5 hours to move our items, because basically the male did all the moving. He was not careful with our items, as he literally tossed and crammed our items, right there was a red light, I called Marathon with my concerns of items being broke or damaged, as well as the concern of one male loading all this heavy furniture? It was as if they sent us someone off the street looking to make a couple of bucks, very unprofessional. When I called to speak to Eric whom at first made EVERYTHING seem possible, all lies. When I called to speak to him, and I even asked by his extension number, I had Claudia intervene. I could never speak to Eric. I called several times with my concern while waiting for my furniture to arrive in Dallas. My furniture arrives 6 days later to Dallas. I had a different set of people (2 males) unload my belongings. They were a bit more careful with my items, but not very helpful once inside the house to place and help set furniture where needed. It was done and gone. I then noticed several pieces of furniture damaged, tables scratched, the end table top of an old curio ripped off (really upset about that), our IKEA long with drawers tv stand all scratched and marked up? (how did this happen) our $800 dollar buffet cabinet-new-scratched on top corner. And we are missing our dolly, which would have been great considering all the boxes we have. I have not even opened some of the crushed up boxes. Claudia seems helpful, but yet we cannot seem to get pass her to speak to others whom where involved with our move. I cannot find anywhere to file a claim on my missing and damaged items. All this makes me believe this was NOT the best choice to have made. DO not trust this company, and now after I found all the reviews and information, I know my gut feeling was correct that we were lied to from the beginning in using this company to find us the IDNoble movers? A VERY unsatisfied customer.....

Horrible. I was quoted one thing, charged more after being told that my cubic space used would adjust in my favor if the space wasn't used only to be charged more once the movers showed up. The movers then disappeared for two-and-a-half-weeks with no updates. Once my stuff did show up it was with one guy and I was forced to help move my stuff into my home. I hired movers to move my stuff so I wouldn't have to. So in the end? I paid more than I was quoted after using less space than quoted, was ignored and ultimately had to help someone I hired to to do this for me. Horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and run far away from this company.

This company is a scam. They underbid to win the business and then during final inventory our price doubles. After giving them over $3500 in deposit they never actually showed up to move us. They would not return our phone calls. Calling the customer service line gets you nowhere. They just lie and say they are working in it. Anything to get you to stay hanging in. This is in no way a legitimate business.

This is a fake company. I tried to contact Steve Cohen (who lied and said just about anything to get to you sign a contract) several times who prepared this quote and contract (Price $3,250). After he charged money (deposit $1,279) from my credit card account, he never replied to my emails and calls. I also requested Nick Anderson to connect with him for clarification, he never did. Nick have approached me two days ago (June 8th, 2021) by phone about inventory revision for the move. I told him that I may add a few more additional items such as grill, dining table, two-tower speakers, and plastic storage shelves and asked for the price, then Nick told me that I have to pay $6,300 for this move with these additional items. Then, I told Nick that I will go with the original quote (Price $3,250) for the move and don’t want to add additional items to this move. Nick could not stand by the original contract and Nick showed ended up refusing to move me and cancelled this service because I insisted on the inventory which I was originally quoted (Price $3,250) for the move. This is injustice, Before me, they cheated three more people like this in the past 10 days.
