This company was a nightmare to work with. On moving day they showed up with obly half of the space they told us we would be getting. The people that they hire do not speak much English so it wad hard to communicate with them. They could only seem to schedule on a weekend so when they show up with a truck that was too small it was impossible to reach anyone higher up to tell them that they had made a mistake amd sent a small truck. The following Monday I called the company and told them what happened and explained that they left stuff behind because the truck didn't have the cubic space that we were promised. I asked when they could send another truck out to pick up the rest, they never could give me an answer. After several calls they still wouldn't not come get the things that they had contracted to take. They told me to rent a moving truck andmove it myself. They still will not return my phone calls as they know they were in the wrong. One the the men working to move the furniture told my family that this company is always screwing over their clients by putting in the contract for them to have more room in the truck than they actually give you. In the end, I had to rent a moving truck to get my furniture to my new house, cross country. I had to pay for the bigger truck as it was last minute and the rental place had no small moving trucks available. I also had to pay to tow my car. This move cost us more than triple what it would have cost me if I had just rented the moving truck and done it all myself. This is not including all the damage done to the furniture. Save yourself time and money and frustration amd just move your own furniture!

OUR MOVE WAS CANCELLED BUT I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND. LANDSTAR VAN LINES AT 22240 Palm Beach Lakes, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 IS LISTED AS ANOTHER COMPANY. SO, LANDSTAR DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. THEY ARE ALSO BROKE, BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE CASH TO REFUND MY CANCELLED MOVE. I'VE BEEN WAITING 2 WEEKS FOR MY MONEY. I'M JUST GLAD THEY DIDN'T GET THEIR HANDS ON MY PROPERTY. BUT I WON'T ALLOW THEM TO KEEP MY MONEY AS I AM FILING A POLICE REPORT AND A FRAUD CASE WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY. LANDSTAR VAN LINES DOES NOT EXIST AS A COMPANY AND IS DOING BUSINESS FRAUDULENTLY.

This is by far the worst experience I have had interacting with any company in my entire life. When booking with the company I looked at Google reviews, and it appeared that the company was reputable. However, I should have looked further online, as after digging deeper I have found that this was not the case. I was lied to from start to finish by multiple people. I was assured by the sales representative that if I had any questions I could call him back directly, or email him. I tried emailing him, and I got a return message that they had blocked my email. The phone number was not answered, nor my messages returned. I specifically asked my items to be shipped directly from my old home to my new home only to later find that the movers took my items to a warehouse to unload everything and then reload it all on to a semi truck. I told the sales representative that I anticipated being at the delivery address within 48 hours, and he stated that the movers would be able to meet me there at this time. When the movers showed up they told me they would delivery my items at a minimum at least 5 days from the pickup date. My items were not delivered until the seventh day after pickup. This left me without a place to stay for an additional five days that I was not expecting. Upon delivery they charged me an additional shuttle fee of $400, which is a charge they add if the semi truck is unable to access your delivery address. The items were loading onto a box truck at pickup, and after my initial assurance that they would take my shipment directly to the delivery address, I was shocked to find that they had not only not done what they promised, but they would then charge me extra to not do what I asked. My items showed up later than I was told by the sales representative, I paid extra for furniture to be wrapped which was not done, per my contract my furniture was to be reassembled upon delivery which wasn’t done, many items were damaged, a box showed up with expensive jewelry missing from it, and several other items still haven’t shown up yet. The moving company told me they still have some items in their possession, and that they would be delivered as soon as possible. They then gave me a delivery date, but they did not show up. They then told me the delivery was rescheduled for a week later, and the items still didn’t show up. Nearly three months have now gone by, I have tried contacting the movers, as well as Landstar Van Lines, and am now being ignored by both companies. I submitted a claim regarding my damages and missing items, and was offered an insulting settlement offer based on the damages and missing items. It is astounding that a company that treats customers as poorly as this is even allowed to conduct business. Do not book with this company under any circumstances, as they operate with zero integrity.

I hired Landstar Van Lines for my recent move, but the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The movers didn't show up on the scheduled day without any notice, causing a delay of 1.5 days. When they finally arrived, they informed me that the moving cost would be doubled the original quote, even though only half of my inventory list items were fit to the original quoted capacity. This estimate was highly inaccurate and unreliable. To make matters worse, the moving company didn't wrap my furniture professionally causing several damage. While the delivery company was a different company and showed professionalism, my mattress was missing at the delivery. Although the delivery company tried to locate my mattress, it was left at a Seattle warehouse. Landstar said they would deliver it in two days, but then they changed the delivery date to three days later. It's been 6 days now, they kept delaying the delivery and I still don't have the mattress. This entire experience has been a disaster, and I do not recommend landstar van lines to anyone. They have no credibility, and their services are highly unreliable.

I've moved over a dozen times in the past 15 years. This is the WORST moving company I have ever worked with!! The pickup drivers just showed up on the day - no call ahead. Then they abruptly left for almost 2 hours to get supplies. Didn't even communicate when they would be coming back - I had to call them. They sent amateurs who were unprepared without the proper supplies, & wearing sandals to move! They stacked heavy boxes on top of boxes that were clearly labeled "Do not stack" & "Fragile". They also did not give me an itemized list of my belongings (as is in the contract), simply a line through numbers on a sheet. I had to ask for over a week to get a copy of the form. Pickup happened on Tues 3/28 - my belongings were only just dropped off yesterday, Monday 5/1.... 5 WEEKS! The first 3 weeks they didn't even have a driver organized. (& they call themselves a moving company!!) Phil Jones from sales is a total liar. He will say anything to make a sale. He manipulated a sale by telling me my belongings would arrive in 2 weeks time. Overly confident & actually pushy - but I fell for his lie & chose this horrible company to deal with. Now, 5 weeks later my things show up broken & several items missing. I'm sadly going to have to continue to work with them to process a claim. Frederick from customer service seemed ok at first, until he accidentally sent me a text message thinking I was the driver & said that he wanted to give them a heads up that I was hard to work with -- Because after several week I want to know where my things are, that makes me difficult? So disgustingly rude. Everyone at this company that I've spoken with has either been a liar or just a jerk. This is not a moving company, it's an unprofessional joke. They don't deserve a single star.
