DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called Kenkays for a quote. They quoted me $190 per hr for 2 helpers. This was for a 10 x 10 storage unit with only furniture. No boxes. I informed the woman who took my call (I am assuming it Marketta) each and every piece of furniture that was in the unit and which were the heaviest. They showed up and the woman gets out of the truck in her pajamas and fuzzy slippers. The truck was about 1/8 of the way full of their stuff that had to be unloaded. The truck was nasty. Two very young men get out that speak NO English in fact speak different languages and can even communicate with each other much less me. They had no dollies or anything to carry the furniture so upon unloading the workers decided to take random grocery cart/wagons from multiple resident’s storage areas without permission and damage them beyond repair. Plus, my friend who was moving my boxes allowed them to use his dolly and they broke that as well. The woman said that his dolly was too old, and it was “normal wear and tear”. After he did them a favor! They were shoving things in the truck without regard to the safety of my things. Was told not to shove things in between the rails of my dining room chairs because they would break the rails. They broke one of those. I told the worker 4 times to not try to roll my grandmother’s dresser but yet they continued to do this. They dropped my cedar chest, which was hand made by my now deceased uncle, tore the back off my bookshelf and put holes in the back. Broke the prongs off my glass table frame. Damaged another dresser, one of the drawers will not close. Damaged the corner of my nightstand. Broke electrical components off my couch and love seat which is brand new. These are theater seat reclining couch and loveseat. If the electrical components do not work, then the set is useless. They call themselves professional, however, professionals bring their own equipment, they don’t steal other people’s things, damage them, and don’t say a word about their mistake. They show up professional and make sure the movers are experienced with the equipment to do the job. They can communicate and follow directions. AND THEY DON’T STEAL! For $15,000+ in damages all they can say is we offered you a $25 discount and you agreed. How insulting! I would never agree with that! And they think $25 will replace/repair the damage they did? Please do your homework and do not use these people.
