These movers (legal name is Chicago Top Movers) got my stuff from Alabama July 13 2020 - and as of today, I have no idea when they will deliver. They were contracted by a broker company out of Ft Lauderdale. I have called several times and left messages and no one has returned my call or email - to let me know what the status is. All I am looking for is some realistic estimate of when my household items will be delivered. If someone will call or email me it would help. The move was distressing enough and now not knowing where my things are or when it will be delivered is more troubling - and I am just looking for someone from the company to contact me - and deliver my items.
Update - Today is August 31, 2020 - and a truck came and delivered - a few items are missing, some damaged - I have to do a detailed inventory/look up and will check - apparently the items were unloaded onto a warehouse - and then reloaded onto another truck for delivery.
Well - it looks like SOMEONE is monitoring these boards - Has anyone has had luck with this company? I am still waiting for my stuff to be delivered - Got a call back once - and reply to an email - but nothing concrete as a possible day for delivery. Does anyone else on these boards have specific ideas they can post/help with -? ALL I am looking for is to have my items delivered.
Somebody recommended this company for my move and I shared this with a friend of mine and he confirmed these are reputable guys. I called one of their sales representatives. This guy was polite and willing to answer all of my questions and I like to ask so many questions. On the move day the guys showed up 30 min later but the supervisor personally apologized for the inconvenience and compromised to move quickly. From that point on they were so quick and careful. Also the delivery was just as promised. For they are trustworthy I recommend them.
This was our first time using these amazing movers I was extremely impressed about their service. These guys were really helpful and made my move much easier. I was skeptic in using a moving company due to bad experiences I had in the past, but this one broke those hang-ups and now I feel confident in hiring them again.
Frauds and thieves. They will damage your belongings, open boxes and go through your items. Most of your items will be damaged. They use fake names, don't answer the phone, and may hold your items hostage for more money. They are terrible at their jobs and very unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it. They are in violation of Dept of Transportation and Federal Trade Commission laws. Several customers have had to call the police, involve lawyers, and report their activities to federal authorities.
This company will quote you one price and double the amount when they pick up your stuff, and you literally have no other choice but to pay. They will give you a hard time about using a credit card because they want to take your cash and run. They will show you a contract online with the first quote, and when you try to email it to yourself, it will disappear. After they take your stuff, they will keep it for a very long time. Never delivering it on the day they say they will (because they have 21 days from the scheduled date to deliver, but they don't communicate with you the entire time). They will NEVER pick up the phone. You will have to try several different phone numbers with various area codes to try and trick them into answering the phone. I left them a horrible review on Facebook and only then did they finally communicate with us. Last week they threatened that they would hold the items hostage until the review was taken down. I took the review down, but put one back up when the "customer service agent" we spoke to had their phone number disconnected. They have 0 days as of today to deliver without it being a violation of DOT standards. We did contact the police and made a police report regarding this whole situation. Apparently we aren't the only ones who have done this. If you value your time, money or possessions, please use another company.
