This is my first time moving with this company and I am very pleased about their service . My belongings arrived just how I left them ,price was fair and no extra charges I had a bad experience about pricing with another company and it was a nightmare . I’m so glad I contacted Barahona’s profesional moving and storage . If needed in the future I would no doubt contract them again.
I contracted Barahona's Moving Storage to do a move for me on April 15th, 2022. When I spoke with Joe on the 13th, I specifically informed him that I needed a truck with a lift gate and a pallet jack. On the 15th, Kevin along with 2 movers came with a smaller truck with no lift gate and no pallet jack. Kevin immediately put the blame on Joe stating that Joe is new and didn't put this on the notes (Walter, sales manager, later confirmed to me that my request were indeed in the notes). Needless to say, Kevin went back all the way to San Jose from Oakley (where the move was) in order to rent a truck from Penske. He could've rented one much closer and not waste so much time driving back and forth. What my issues are regarding this move are: - instructions were not followed on the equipment necessary for the move - Movers were standing around way too much and watching each other instead of moving and loading items to the truck - Kevin was argumentative and refused to follow instructions on how to properly move and load the items - A couple of my equipment were damaged due to the recklessness of the movers especially Kevin who intentionally dropped my ice cream machine on the ground - Kevin was trying to intentionally charge me a higher rate and started giving me an excuse that the reason for it was the move with the lift gate costs more - Kevin also took over 4 hours to come back from the unnecessary pick up of a rental truck more than 60 miles away and still tried to charge me for hours that he was not even present for the move - Walter has promised me a small refund and promised me an immediate refund if I were to agree with a smaller refund. This was 5 months ago and I have never received any refund and when I followed up on it 2 months ago he said that he will be issuing it that day which it never happened. This company is a scammer and it seems that their staff is trained to scam their customers any where from doing a bait and switch on the pricing and lying.
