As many of the other reviews suggest...STAY AWAY FROM Anthem Moving Services! We worked with "Rachel Ross" to complete our estimate. Initially she was responsive to our questions and earning our business. Of course once we trusted Rachel and unknowingly paid a $1260 deposit from our checking account(so it could not be disputed), they not only did not perform their duties, they have not responded to any call or email since. THIS SLEEZE-BAG COMPANY STOLE OUR MONEY. They took the Social Security money my wife, whom is a breast cancer survivor, had saved so we could move out of the northeast where she is in pain every winter. No one contacted us after the deposit was paid. No one. No one contacted us 5 days prior to the move window to catalog our belongings as was promised. No one called as our 3 day move window came and went. No one returned any of our calls. No one responded to our emails. THEY TOOK OUR MONEY AND RAN.

Started out at $5000, ended up $over $9000. The movers was HORRIBLE! They broke my coffee table, stained one bedroom carpet with orange soda and they dumped the contents of my desk on the floor and never picked it up or packed it. They gouged me for the extra money or they would not deliver. Basically held my stuff hostage until I paid. And to top it all off, the lead guy forced me to GIVE them a tip!! The office never addresses your problem and give you the run around. I will tell you to run from Anthem Movers....they are HORRIBLE!!!

I hired this company to move my items from New York to Louisiana. They were very pleasant at first but of course as soon as I signed the contract issues started occurring. They said I could call to change my pick up dates, which I did, but then later they claimed this never occured. When my items were picked up, they tried to charge me extra. Fortunately I had asked questions through email so I had in writing that what I was being charged for I was promised I wouldn't be, however it still took a month and me refusing to pay the extra charge for them to relent. When my items were delivered, several items were severely damaged, one was completely lost and on top of that I was given something of someone else's that they seemed completely uninterested in trying to return to it's owner. I still have it, and am unclear what to do with it. In short, this was a horrible experience and I would definately recommend against it.

This company is UNRELIABLE, the promises they make are empty and all the great customer service they offer is EMPTY. They do not replay to emails or text, they said the price is going to stay the same when IT DID NOT. The sales person FAILED to mention that the charge was by number of item, instead he told it was by space. They charged me an additional $ 600 because they counted my desk and chair detachable as SINGLE items. This is RIDICULOUS and the company is worth nothing. They lost TWO of my boxes and there was no explanation to where they are if I can get them. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST, please do not use them. They are liars and they are just going to waste your money. ( I would put ZERO, if I could)

FOLLOW UP to earlier post 3 months ago. Within minutes of posting my review 3 months ago I received a phone call from Sarah at Anthem Moving Services apologizing for the company and promising the company would review my invoice and over charge. Within a week I was informed BY THE OWNER that I would receive a refund for the entire amount I was charged over the original estimate. That was three months ago. I'm told the check was written, I'm told the check has been signed. I have been in contact with them weekly inquiring as to where my refund is. I have received every excuse under the sun including "the secretary forgot to mail it", "it was returned by the post office". Again I have been on the phone with them weekly going over the correct mailing address and why haven't I received it yet. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY YOU ARE AN IDIOT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ONCE AGAIN. My post from 3 months ago: THE WORST EVER: DO NOT USE: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They get a single star only because they won't post this review without checking at least one. I took a shot against my better judgment and got burned. I went back and forth three times regarding my inventory and what they should expect arriving at 655 cubic feet (cf) of space required. I worked directly with James Wagner, at least that is the name he used in his email. However, when Randy and his partner arrived and did their walk through to confirm the cf, Randy's new number became 1600 cf. I freaked out as it now doubled my cost. Settlement on the house was set for the following morning. Zero shot at getting someone else in time. I literally told Randy "what choice do I have, you have me by the *#@&%". They know the game as he followed up by stating "we only accept cash, money order or certified check" so I wouldn't be able to put a stop on it like I could if it were a personal check. So off to the bank I go when I get a text msg from my daughter informing me everything was loaded but they didn't load my tools from the garage and they now wanted even more money. When I returned I was unable to see how they packed the truck as they placed a queen mattress crosswise in the very back and proceeded to tell me it was full. Oh, they also had the nerve to ask for a bonus of 10% to 20% based on how good a job I thought they did. DENIED. I still have to get all my tools out of the garage before settlement so off to a local mini storage I go. On the way I speak with Adam Green who deeply apologizes and says he will have the guys return the next day to the mini storage and transport my tools as well as pick up the cost of the storage unit. At this point I don't want them touching another thing of mine and told him I would find another way to get it done. The rest of my belongings all went to a third party warehouse for temporary storage. In the warehouse my things were all placed into 3 vaults 378 cf each. One vault was full, one was 1/3 empty and the 3rd was 2/3 empty effectively taking up 756 cf. I also had them transport a canoe which occupied 65 cf. for a total of 825 cf. rounding up. Now 12 days later Mr. Green has yet to return any of my calls and it has progressed to the point where no one even picks up and no option to leave a message. I wrote him an email and included pics showing the vaults and all the open space. I also stated I am more than willing to pay for the actual overage but requested a refund for the balance. I have still yet to hear from Mr Green. I REPEAT, DO NOT USE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
