Our company requires a lot of short-term moves. I don’t have time to figure out all of the logistics. American Long Distance Moving and Storage takes care of every move.

When I was leaving Alabama for Maine I needed to store my Bike. American Long Distance Moving and Storage put us in touch with the company right down the block. The move was 2 days late, other than that, it's all good.

I was sitting on my front porch waiting for the moving truck that was three hours late. I called American Long Distance Moving and Storage. They told me the moving company they sent us was ten minutes out. They were there in less time and sure made up the time loading.

Our company made the move from California to Texas. We took everyone who would make the move. Every household had different requirements. American Long Distance Moving and Storage found the right movers for every requirement. They also took responsibility for a slight mishap for one of our employees. Everyone else had very smooth and timely moves.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Terrible communication. Broken Promises. Thieves. An overall SCAM. Continue reading if you would care to hear why my experience was so terrible. When I had called to get a quote I was told it would be around $2000. I would do the packing on my own minus furniture/fragile items, they would load my belongings on October 25th in Nashville, and then deliver them the next day in Kansas City. I then started recieving confirmation texts on the 22nd saying they would be arriving on October 26th to move my belongings. I called to ask what was going on and Sam, the costumer service rep, said they had to use the 26th as an "emergency fall back date". Which was fine it gave me an extra day to pack. Then on the morning of October 25th they sent me a text saying they were on their way and would be there in a couple of hours. I frantically packed up the rest of my belongings. Once they arrived the 2 men were extremely unprofessional walking through my home saying "Man I hope that's not coming, I hope that isn't coming..." and so on. At the end of packing my belongings they told me it would actually be over $3000 and that I needed to pay with cash, check, zelle, or money order!!! I do not carry that much cash on me, my checks would have been loaded on the truck, nor was I expecting it to be over $1000 more than what I was quoted so of course I wouldn't have a money order. I tried to run to the supermarket to get a money order but their money services were down and it was now 5pm so I couldn't run to the bank. So I reluctantly downloaded Zelle so I could complete my payment. Except they don't accept first time Zelle payments. The driver told me he needed to get on the road and he was going to do a "non payment" and that I would owe another $450 at the time of delivery. I made him call his boss and figure out a way I could make a payment because I was already blindsided by the additional $1000 I was surely not going to pay anymore. Eventually I was able to pay through Venmo.. Sketchy! Now, do you believe that my belongings didn't show up the next day as they were orginally promised? I called and talked with Sam again and she said it would probably be 3-4 days since they can only travel 400 miles per day. After my belongings did not show up after 4 days I called againa and Sam had me email over the Bill of Lading and she was going to look into when my things would arrive. Wouldn't you know it, she NEVER replied!!!!! On November 2nd I recieved a call that my belonging were ready to be delivered that afternoon. Once they arrive my nightmare continue. EVERY SINGLE PIECE of furniture was damaged in some way with excessive scratching, their tape ripping the finish off, losing the legs to my dresser as well as corbels to my bed, broken lamps, broken tables. It was a disaster. Then I noticed I was missing a Michael Kors purse, the only purse that I owned that was name brand, and the only purse missing. Coincidence? I think not. Do you think I'm able to get in contact with the insurance to submit my claims? Of course not. It's just another scam like the rest of it all. Save your money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH AMERICAN LONG DISTANCE MOVING!!!!
