We hired gateway express to move us from NH to SC. Well we did not know gateway was a broker and they sold our contract to all American movers. They were supposed to come on august 19 bu5 never showed up. On aug 20 we got a call at 9 pm saying they were having truck problems and would here here first thing in the morning. Well they showed up mid morning and the first thing they guy said was”can you take me to fill a prescription” after driving that guy around all day he was dropped off at the hospital. Meanwhile instead of loading the truck the other 2 guys sat in the truck for 6 hours outside my house. When they first guy got back around 9-10pm he said they had to come back in the morning. We informed him we were not going to be in town on aug 22. The dispatch person I think names Alex said we had to cancel our plans and stay home or we could leave the house unlocked for them. I’m that was not going to happen. Thru security cameras we saw they came when they knew we would not be home. Finally on august 25 a different truck and crew came. As soon as he stepped foot into our house he said we had to pay him $1000 because we had more stuff then what was on the inventory. He never once looked at the inventory list because he would have seen we took off 3 complete rooms of furniture. So they load the truck and was on there way promising us it wou;d get delivered. We were told to call with the deliver address as soon as we knew. We called on sept 2 and told them the address. It has been hell trying to get hold of them. Between sept 2 and oct 1 there number was no longer in service. The broker gateway express will not call back or email back. All American movers will not call back and they have no email. We have filed -olive reports for both companies and have reported them to every authority we can. All American movers are rude when you can get hold of them. We were told be thankful if we ever get our furniture back. It will be stolen and the stuff that is not stolen will be broken. This company is horrible! Even the 2 guys that finally came to move us said his dispatcher is awful. They won’t even tell us where it is stored. We were offered free 60 day storage. I think they are keeping out stuff until the 60 days is up so they can charge us more money. Stay away from this company!

Just to update this. Today is oct 14 and we finally after calling the police in 4 different states, filing reports with every agency we could and hiring an attorney to sure them, which is in progress right now, we got our stuff. They dumped it in a storage unit. Every box was crushed and every piece of furniture was broken. They opened all of our boxes and poked thru them all. The storage unit has boxes and furniture that is not even ours. So some other customer of theirs is going to be missing stuff. Alex the dispatch try to extort more money from us before he would tell us where our things were. My husband was talking to him while I was on the phone with the police in the city Alex was located. The police visited Alex. We stood our ground and would not give them any more money. He was very upset. Do not use this company they will be paying for everything they stole and/or broken from our stuff.

Van involved in accident. Driver arrested for outstanding warrant. Belongings smashed and lost.ended up with other peoples stuff. Driver requested cash before delivery made .don't use this business

They are fraud or a scam company we got them through a broker who lied to us saying that they are the carriers. In fact they were middle men they charged us upfront $3000. Then they send out the crew to pick our stuff from 4,600 sqft house. They ruined our floors while picking the furniture and fought with each other we were really naive and didn’t pick any clues that they are thugs. They picked out stuff on 10 June and we were given the delivery date of 20june. It’s been 4 months and we haven’t got our stuff we are a family of 5 and we are living on air mattresses and are miserable and frustrated. Whenever we call them they don’t respond. We are kind of lost and planning to sue the company and the broker firm too. So pls be aware of these thugs and never ever go to them they will bait you with low rates and then ask for more after picking your stuff and leaving you in a a tight spot.

I have been waiting for my stuff for two months, it has yet to be delivered. I was told it would take about 5 days. I am sleeping on a borrowed air mattress. I just want to get my stuff.

Where to begin. It's taken me a while to write this review because I was so upset. I recently moved from Chicago, IL to Nashville, TN. My move date was 7/27/2020 and I did not receive my items until 8/26/2020, almost a month later. I am grateful that I work from home and that I had packed some additional items in my car, otherwise I do not know what I would have done. The customer service was terrible. All I was told from Christina on the other end was that my items were in storage and they were trying to find a diver for the load. I called once even twice a week for an update and there were no changes. The woman who originally booked me said it can take up to 10 business days. Each time I called I received a different timeline of 21 days up to 30 days. They kept referencing a contract that I did NOT and still have NOT received a copy of. It ended up costing me double the original estimate. I was told that the quote can change the day of depending on any additional items I may be adding. I had a very detailed list of the items I was taking. I even called back 1 week before my move to give the exact measurements of my items. I was told by Christina on the other end that I do not need to provide that information, I only needed to let them know if I was adding or removing items from the original quote. Once the movers showed up (late I might add) they said that the quote was going to be an additional $1,500. I was blindsided and upset as you know moving is a stressful time. The man in charge realized my frustration and waived the packing costs, which was extremely nice of him. They did a wonderful job packing my items as they were delivered safely minus some stains on one of my dining room chairs. Fast forward to a few weeks later after countless calls and emails requesting updates and the contract, my items were out for delivery. I read tons of other comments linking this company to hostage situations so I was proactive and tried to stay ahead of anything shady to avoid extra costs and fees. You have to babysit and be involved because you will not hear from the company at all throughout the process. Long story short, if you are moving long-distance save up and use well-known companies. It's worth it for the peace of mind knowing your items will be delivered in a timely manner and safely. Do not use All American Movers!
