Whenever I had a query, they were right there to help with an open and honest answer. During the process, they were utterly professional and moved so quickly. I felt so comfortable with them moving my things, and I knew I and my belongings were in good hands and that I had nothing to worry about. I definitely will be recommending them the next time someone asks me to help with a big move!
I never had to do a long distance move so it took a little jump of confidence on my side. They provided us a fair rate. On the moving day they exactly showed up on time. There were no broken or absent items. I did insurance for my belongings but I didn't have to claim. Another word the movers didn't give me a chance to claim. Thanks to Adams van lines for a great move!
Denny Fleming is the worst customer rep I've ever dealt with. He misquoted me by telling me he had everything I requested in our contract but literally left off a sectional couch, fake plant, heater, fans, hockey bag, 9 foldable chairs, 6 kitchen chairs, 1 foldable table, a camping grill, tent, canopy for camping, all the size of my pictures after I went over specific dimensions, missed 20 pictures I mentioned out of 25 total, said we could have trash bags filled with soft blankets (which after we signed a contract you can't do with this company), missed another small heater, 2 fans, 1 tv, a cpu monitor, 2 end tables, and a pair of Longhorns. He repeated all of these items back to me and left them off of the final contract and quoted me for 6,400$. Fast forward to the day before moving I get a call (from Ron) that all this stuff was never mentioned and I have to pay 1,200$ To reserve the rest of the space in our truck so this company won't pick up another 2 bedroom apartment with our stuff. Denny of course never mentioned this either. He also told me we had 10% leeway on boxes so if we had 100 and we had 10 extra it was no charge. When the new rep contacted me (Denny wouldn't respond to me) they said that he should have never said that and that isn't their policy at all. 1 day later a new person calls me after Ron contacted me and said Ron no longer works with the company and of course he was supposed to follow up with me, then a new rep Colleena contacted me and said it's not 1,200$ to reserve the truck and it would be an additional $4,000+ to reserve the truck and Ron shouldn't have quoted me for $1,200. No one in this company knows what anyone else is doing and it literally just compromised my entire move to another state. I would highly highly recommend never using this company unless you want some shady people to work with that will lie to you about costs to get you roped in and pile it on later and only blame it on other people. This was such a bad experience I felt the need to write this review. Denny Fleming is a con artist if you ask me. I would rate 0 but it’s not an option!
Please do not use this company. once they take your money they will avoid your calls at all costs. they subcontract to horrible 3rd party movers who damaged my apartment extensively. They also call you a week before your move and increase your quote substantially with a promise that its just to protect you and iF you move less items they will refund you which is not true. I have moved many times and this company is the absolute worst that I have come across. absolutely horrible!
The worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT VENDOR FOR YOUR MOVE. I moved my family of 5 from Boston to Charleston,SC and it ended up being the most traumatic experience of my life because of the movers. My sales rep lied to me, stating we would have an exact date for the move 2 weeks out. Come to find out it’s a three day window and they won’t tell you until day of. How do you plan travel across country with three kids? When we finally learned the pickup date, they showed up 4 hours late WITH NO TOOLS. They couldn’t dissemble anything, they didn’t know what they were doing at all, and then charged us more money because they said we had more stuff then estimated (they never did an itemized inventory). My wife was alone with them and SHE FOUND HER PANTIES HANGING FROM THE CEILING FAN. Creepiest thing ever, she feared for her safety. They proceeded to take 8 days to get to South Carolina. We got a dedicated truck and the drive is two days max. They finally showed up 3 days after they stated, unloaded the truck and went home for the night without moving anything inside. My wife and I ended up moving most of our stuff in the house, as the guys weren’t strong enough or motivated to put things upstairs. They were rude, unprofessional and took a 4 hour lunch break after showing up late. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY . They also broke my desk but claimed because it wasn’t dissembled they weren’t liable (even though they were the ones that didn’t provide the service I was promised.
