United States Moving Services will hound you to get your business and when they can’t deliver no one will respond. The salesperson Sam Gains told me my delivery would be completed in 2-4 days depending on weather. Nonetheless, I spent 14 days in empty home with nothing but what was in my suitcase and none of my work from home equipment, which also cost me multiple days of PTO. Customer service and communication was terrible, emails have yet to be answered weeks later, and when I spoke to the customer service team, and they didn’t have an answer to basic questions they just hung up on me. I asked the customer service manager Elise what they were going to do to compensate me, and she told me ‘Nothing.’ Save yourself time/headache and hire some folks to help you load and unload instead of wasting thousands of dollars with this raggedy company.
DO NOT REQUEST A QUOTE FROM THESE PEOPLE! THEY HAVE CALLED ME 15-PLUS TIMES A DAY!!!! I TOLD THEM TO TAKE MY NAME OFF THE LIST AND THEY LAUGHED AT ME AND SAID THEY WILL KEEP CALLING!
This company seemed reputable. However, when we chose another option for our move, I received a disgusting display of behavior via text and email. Based on what I’ve read online, we dodged a bullet by choosing other methods anyway. Shameful and disgusting behavior for a so-called professional.
Had an initial pleasant call with the company. The estimate was the lowest I had received and they gave me a discount to beat out another company. Every time I talked to USMS the estimate somehow increased despite me taking items off the inventory (washer and dryer etc) and conservatively adding in some more boxes. The movers the company hired showed up the day before moving day without permission during my 18 month olds bedtime and were rude and loud. Its been 8 days since they left with my stuff on the truck and the moving company is ghosting myself and USMS so I have no clue when/if my stuff will arrive. I specifically asked the Sales Person about moving around Thanksgiving and since it was a holiday how that would impact moving dates. He told me that "unfortunately in this industry we don't get that time off". This was not at all accurate. I based moving my family around the dates the gentleman provided. So I am stuck in a new state without any of my belongings and no clue when they will arrive. All that with the benefit of paying nearly double the price I was quoted.
The final numbers were well below the estimate. Right on time, ready to work. Cool guys, extremely friendly, and great workers. I would absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt recommend these guys!
