I would request everyone to stay away from this company. We had to go through a lot on the day of closing with 2 kids. These guys are not movers, they are (cheaters) brokers and send quotes to multiple movers and if you happen to be in luck some no-name moving company will come to pick for you, twist is you won’t see your stuff again. I spoke to Neil Edward and he is an excellent actor he did the same for not one but a similar experience for multiple people who booked with him and this company. These guys did not have any intention to show up and when I called them asking when can I expect them to pick up they kept postponing saying the next day and when the pickup window closed they started claiming I canceled the move. When I questioned them how can I cancel the move when I had to move out of the house as I had the closing on the next day they said someone from their side made a mistake and canceled my move. I had to get a Uhaul and move all of my stuff to a friend’s garage as they promised to send someone in the next few days which never happened and I got tired of calling them and had to hire different movers. They said they would process my refund and asked me to send an email canceling the move as they could not help me with the move. I have been reaching them for almost 3 + months now and today when I spoke to the customer care rep Neil Edwards again, he said I should have read the contract correctly and asked me to read the contract again and he mentioned that they just give an estimated date for pick up and they don't promise on actual pickup dates. Neil said they won’t refund stating that I sent an email for move cancellation which I sent upon speaking to them after 3 weeks of delay. Stay away from these guys. Time to reach out to an attorney. One thing I learned is to stay away from brokers like these guys and try to hire the actually the movers who would actually move the stuff. I wish you all Good Luck with your move.

Frank and Steve and the rest of the gang were fast and packed our stuff with care. None of our stuff was damaged. They were so nice and friendly. Our move came in under budget and in less time than what they quoted. Frank was awesome to deal with. I'll recommend this company to anyone moving.

After calling around and getting different quotes for my scheduled move, I easily chose this company based off of their reasonable rate. I was extremely impressed with the crew's professional and courteous service. The 4 movers that showed up were on time and highly efficient in getting the job done - one hour less than the time that was originally quoted. I was moving into a newly carpeted and painted house with narrows hallways. The crew was very careful and didn't leave a mark on the wall or on the carpet.

I will start this the way I wish someone had started theirs before me. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! They will be the lowest estimate, but it IS NOT WORTH IT!!! Also, PRINT YOUR ESTIMATE!!! The web link to your estimate will disappear on the first day of your scheduled move, regardless of if they pick up or not. Thanks God I printed mine. Was given a “binding estimate” that I was told was good for 3 days. I then called back on the 16th (exactly 3 days later) to find that the estimate had gone up by about $100 for the exact same stuff being moved. Not a huge deal, but the first of many. When I spoke with Josh on the 13th and again on the 16th I explained the situation. The move was scheduled for July 30th. The estimate and the contract both showed a 3-day window for pickup. I questioned this at the time and was assured by Josh that “that is there for legal reasons, but I promise you we will be there on the 30th. Thursday the 29th I got a call from Progressive stating that the movers would be there between 11 and 4 the next day. 10:45 Friday morning (15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive) I got a call that the movers were not going to be able to make it at all that day and that it would be tomorrow, but they couldn’t give me a time and they would call “first thing in the morning with the time”. When I pointed out what Josh had stated about being sure that they would be there on the 30th she responded with “I don’t care what you were told”. Saturday the 31st I get to the house early to make sure I didn’t miss the movers. I was told at 11:45am she would make some calls and get back to me. I called back at 2:15pm since there were still no movers and no communication and was told that they still could not give me a time. Through text I was told that I should just expect it for tomorrow (Sunday the 1st). There was absolutely zero communication from Progressive while they have someone WAITING ON THEM. At 6:30PM on Saturday I received a call from the actual movers stating that “they knew I was scheduled for tomorrow, but could they pick it up tonight since they were only about 30 minutes away”. I agreed to a late pick up. When I was discussing the cluster that this had become the mover showed me that the job had JUST been sourced to them about an hour before. So, there was not even a mover sourced for the first day or for a majority of the second day. When I spoke with Josh, I had given him all the information about the apartment being a second-floor apartment. It is even noted in the initial estimate that it is a second-floor apartment. He explained that they “normally charge extra for that but he would just give that to me”. The mover explained that he had nothing noting that and that the additional charge was going to be $125 per 7 steps. Items were delivered 7 days after the initial pickup. This would be acceptable, but there was no contact made until just before delivery was going to be made. Also, one of the items, an antique night-table in solid oak was lost in the move. When I called Progressive to find out how to file the claim, I was basically again given an attitude of “we don’t care, we never had your items in our possession”. While that is accurate, it’s a really terrible outlook to take on people’s personal possessions. These are items that may be irreplaceable, and you act as if you don’t care. Even if you don’t, learn to pretend or find a new line of work. All in all, I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE. Progressive cares only about their fee, once you make that initial deposit, they could care less about you or your move. Progressive will be the cheapest company you will talk to, by far. Until you add in the extra fees, the floating “binding estimate”, the additional cost in hotel rooms because the date keeps changing, and their extremely rude lady on the phone. If your choice is Progressive or moving yourself, choose moving yourself and give me a call. I’d rather fly somewhere and help a stranger move than ever see Progressive Van Lines get another cent from anyone.

I can’t thank Thomas Frost enough. Just an absolute pleasure to work with. He took a tough move and made it work and was almost effortlessly. He met my families needs and delivered when promised. Highly recommend.
