Terrible value. Persuaded my wife to signing a contract without her thorough understanding of it. Companies like this should be shut down. They are just a marketing element who is good at preying on people. They pass the contracts off to moving companies. The problem is they have a slew of ad-on fees that aren’t disclosed and you have 3 days to pull out!

First off, this website didn't give me an option to select the actual states (Washington to Mass) Never in my life have I felt more disrespected and scammed than working with this company. When we first contacted the broker, we were met with lovely customer service, and were told that with the current market, we would benefit from planning in advance. The broker assured us that the company could do much better than your larger agencies like Uhaul, PODs, etc as their estimates were around $7000 for our 2BR, which felt quite costly for two average income folks. When I did the same move myself with a uhaul trailer it cost me about $2000 between the rental and gas so we were thrilled to hear that we were quoted at $2,771 and gladly gave a down payment. Knowing how most peoples experiences are with moves, I did anticipate some increased costs as we probably hadn't accounted for every item in our initial quote, but I never imagined it doing more than doubling in cost, especially given we were moving items for a 2 BR apartment, but I was gravely unprepared for the scam ahead of us. When they called several months later to verify the move just days before, the price not only doubled but was then quoted at $8,000, vastly beyond what we had budgeted for. Given the short notice, we had no time to make alternate arrangements and clearly waits until it is too late to do any alternative. We had no ability to review the contract prior to the movers arriving, and then rushed us in reviewing it with individuals that did not share our primary language. The head of the crew went ahead and slashed through parts of the contract that limited our capacity to file a claim and put us in a situation of having to pay more should we have tried to slow the situation. Note we were never informed until after, that the only time we could call to discuss our concerns was then and there. Then came all the hidden fees. We had done our due diligence to pack most of our items, but the broker had us under the impression that moving and some packing were included in the costs. The movers demanded on wrapping most of our large items in the clear wrap and somehow charged us $1000 for the amount that could have cost $20 at Home Depot. Their contract states that you don't have to pay for padded blankets, but what they don't include is that the movers demanded on then wrapping the furniture in padded blankets with tons of the clear wrap around it. When I tried to dispute this with their customer service and how their prices were nothing short of criminal, I was met with, 'there's nothing we can do'. Additionally, the contract states that the first flight of stairs (12 stairs) is free and then $75 after. The movers were picking up at two locations and there were two sets of stairs at the first house and at the second there were three sets of 3-4 stairs leading up to the apartment which one would think would qualify as 1 flight. Somehow we ended up being charged for 5 sets of stairs and were not aware of this until after it was all said and done. When I was discussing delivery date with the crew leader, I gave him a range of four days we were hoping to have our things delivered on. What he didn't tell me, is that he put down our items being delivered within 21 days of that date, which left us stranded for two weeks longer than we had been informed. Every time we called to try to get an update, we were told 'its in storage' or 'its in transport' and refused to provide additional details. Then as the loading crew were leaving, the leader demanded we significantly tip his guys. While I have always and had planned to tip movers, I was taken aback by his demeanor and disrespect, when we had been extremely kind toward his crew. When our belongings arrived, they were trashed. Every single box looked like a class of 6th graders had used it for soccer practice, fragile boxes were stacked on the bottom, a guitar case was smashed, all furniture scuffed/scratched, and then some. In fact the only things that did not get damaged were the things we packed thoroughly ourselves (so much for that $1000 in saran wrapping to 'ensure our belongings are shipped safely). My Best Mover clearly knows that people have no other options and jacks up the price just before your move date to make up for the 'broker discounts', making you hostage to your moving company. Not to mention their customer service is utter garbage and you just keep getting directed to one guy named Sam who refuses to connect you with anyone else and just repeats there is nothing he can do. In addition they deleted our initial quote from when we booked, trying to make it more challenging for us to compare the contracts and contest our concerns. If you need any other selling point, it cost us $13,000 to move a 2BR apartment (way more than our things even cost), which in my opinion is frankly criminal. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these people.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting human beings. Was told my estimate was 2400, upon arrival they charged me 3200. They also completely broke my tv and the most I can get for it is 20 dollars. They made it seem like my furniture would arrive within 2 days and then proceeded to make me wait almost 3 weeks for my furniture. They are actual scum of the earth worst types of people. Do not ever use this moving company ever in your life unless you want to get scammed!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. After receiving my deposit, they set up a quality assurance phone call to make sure I was properly quoted for everything that was going to be moved. On day-of, rather than moving my items as agreed, they had hired another company to do so and I was then charged over twice what was quoted, which I did not have. I was forced to send the truck away and am now refused a refund on my deposit despite no service being performed and despite attempted extortion. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
